Yes I was saying that socialism and Marxism are not one and the same. Take Quebec separatism. It is national socialist in nature. With a hard right wing side that dominates the narrative. But only the Marxist FLQ has ever acted towards liberation. Had they succeeded you’d see the left and right of separatism fight one another for a socialist or national socialist society. And of course nazism is right wing! But the point I was actually making seriously was the the left has fought for universal workers rights. They won the weekend for fucks sake. And we continue to fight for workers around the world. That might explain your point about why people view the left more favorably than the right. I agree, only for the white aryan worker, but that does not negate the fact that granting holidays to workers is, fundamentally, a leftist program. It was also not at all conservative, it was actually rather progressive. Or do right wing politics badly want to grant workers more holidays? Indeed, not all workers could benefit equally, there were obvious racist elements.
