mikeman5150
Has anybody had trouble purchasing tickets with the night train pre-sale? I tried to order tickets for two different shows and it said that it was currently restricted. Pretty pissed off that I wasted $45.

I've heard the same thing you're saying from others though, which is terrible. We have a CitiCard so my wife used that pre-sale last night and got the seats we wanted. Original
Fan clubs used to be the way to go for good tix ..... but then bands decided to follow the $ and fuck the fans. I've found that the last few years TM is the way to go. Which is amazing to say.
mikeman5150
I was looking at tix again today and it appeared that the citi presale had better tickets available than the nightrain presale. Super disappointing.

GnR Chris
I found this out last year. Citi card got me PIT. Nightrain got me like 30th row on the side of the stage in the lower bowl. I did use Nightrain for the recently announced arena shows, the one in Chicago, and I snagged two pit tickets. I never select "best available." I always select specifically the area I want to sit and when it says unavailable, I keep trying like a maniac. Nightrain makes no promises or guarantees of good tickets (or tickets at all) on their disclaimer. It's pretty bogus though. I don't even think people should be able to sign up day-of via Ticketmaster and purchase fan club presale. But that's just me. I don't like anything about how the GNR fan club is run. They used to do perks which they just don't anymore. And the merch is awesome (and worth the price of membership, really), but IT TAKES FOREVER. Way too long. I just re-upped 'cause I want that 30th anniversary swag ... at least this time they admit it won't get sent out till June and then the rest of it in the fall sometime. TLDR: Get a Citi card

My wife used our CitiCard and got exactly the seats we wanted. I feel bad for a friend of mine who bought into Nightrain this week without asking me. He got into the pre-sale only to find no tickets were left. He's going to try to the general public on sale today and hope he can get something. I really wish he'd asked me about Nightrain before paying for it though.

When did he try to buy tickets with the NT presale? I have never seen it sold out if you try when they're first put up for sale.
