PhillyRose
I absolutely love this track, as unfinished as it is. It really gives me that Chinese Democracy feel which is amazing considering how old it is! That singing at the end is what really brings out the ChiDem feel for me. What are your thoughts?
Swedish
I like it as well! Does anyone know who the girl that's singing on it is?
janrichmond
I don't get any CD vibes from it. It's a nice little song.
PirateRadio
One of my favorites of the early demos!

soon
I will never understand how people enjoy those tracks. Least of all this one with its 80's Beach Boys Kokomo b-side vibe. Happy for those who enjoy em of course. @youngswedishvinyljust a guess, but maybe West Arkeens girlfriend?

What are your thoughts? raw lovely fantastic song/demo with superb axl vocals! cant find any connection whatsoever with the bloated nonsense of axl solo album! 7 hours ago, soon said: I will never understand how people enjoy those tracks. Blackstar
It looks like it was a song put together by Axl and West Arkeen. It sounds like something Axl would do, given that he liked a lot of pop music like George Michael. The vocals are great.

estrangedtwat
This song is fucking incredible!!!! For a cheesy ass song recorded on a tape player in 1985. I got it on the bootleg "Coverin Em" back in 1993 or so. I was so excited....the cover of the CD basically boasted three brand new never before heard GNR tracks. I must have paid $30 for it...for a high school kid in 1993 that's a shitload of money. I was so excited....I couldn't wait....got it in the CD player and.......what the fuck is this gay ass Prince-outtake sounding bullshit?? I mean, I still listened the hell out of those songs, cause "new" Axl vocals were as rare then as they are now, but let's not pretend any of those West Arkeen demos are actually good songs. (PS.....still have the CD. Call me old fashioned but there's still something so fun about having real silverback pressed bootleg CDs instead of MP3s or CD-Rs.)

(PS.....still have the CD. Call me old fashioned but there's still something so fun about having real silverback pressed bootleg CDs instead of MP3s or CD-Rs.) same story, except for two things - i first got them on a tape (recorded from a silver boot CD called "the garden") and would take me a year or two more to get the actual silver CD with them - i actually found all these tracks fantastic -- my tape had bring it back home, crash diet, sentimental movie, too much too soon, just another sunday and the demos for yesterdays and bad obsessions and a few more. i kept showing these tracks to all my friends who liked GNR but none of them agreed with me that they were fantastic hahahaha i still think they are very good songs! DieselDaisy
''Crash Diet'' and ''Bring it Back Home'' are very good - better than some of the officially released songs. I didn't care for the others.

jamillos
I prefer Shadow of Your Love. That should have been released somehow, somewhere. Or at least played live! Why the hell not? estrangedtwat
Shadow of Your Love is on several official Geffen releases and was definitely played live as well, but only in the early days.
jamillos
I know but I meant like more officially, not the obscure old stuff. And they haven’t played it since 87.
DieselDaisy
Shadow of Your Love is already perfect the way it is. 3

I don't know where the hell was Axl's mind when he didn't put that song on AFD. On topic: Just Another Sunday sucks big time

Would have been a nice addition to Lies!
