BadRain
To me (and to many others) Appetite for Destruction is one the greatest hard rock albums in the history of rock. I would contend that only a handful of hard rock (not metal) albums come close. Here's my short list of the albums I feel give Appetite a run for it's money, or come closest. Back in Black - AC/DC Highway to Hell - AC/DC Rocks - Aerosmith Toys in the Attic - Aerosmith Led Zeppelin II Montrose - self titled debut Van Halen - debut album As I'm sure I forgot a few, I would love to hear other's opinions as to what hard rock albums are in Appetite's league. Len Cnut
What is Hard Rock? Can someone define it for me? Only I see Exile up there, Zep I, what is Hard Rock?
BadRain
Yeah, hard rock can sometimes be hard to define. It can cross into metal a lot too. The Stones were never really hard rock, but they did have that sleazy, bluesy swagger.

Kwick1
For me it's hard to say that any are up there with AFD except for Ac/Dc Back in Black running 2nd. That's not saying that I didn't / haven't enjoyed other bands but for strength of LP side to side nothing comes close to AFD. Everything about that album was perfect. It came out at the perfect time, had an attitude that was missing from music and had the most dynamic frontman. AFD Back in Black Lies Zep I
DieselDaisy
If Hendrix was included in ''hard rock'' my five would basically be the three experience albums
