Ralphelmo
To me it doesn't sound like anything SMKC did before, especially chorus. Frank is doing magic with his loose wrist on verses. And this bridge as a clear refference to 'Standing in The Sun' Edited July 21, 2018 by Ralphelmo

TheGeneral
I couldn't care less, I just read that interview to maybe read "Oh and in October I'll be going to the studio with Axl and Duff!" But he seems to be really busy with SMKC so, I guess not.
Kelmi
Hm not a very strong single. I enjoyed the song but I think a single should be stronger. Im happy that they are back again!
Ralphelmo
Standing in The Sun, first verse: You're the dark to light You're never satisfied You only know the things that will fail to be a pessimistic one Driving Rain, bridge: She's the dark to light She's never satisfied She always seems to find the reason to hope that I'll come back tonight I love how they did this! 1

Ralphelmo
How this band evolved you can clearly hear on 'Withered Delilah'. After face smashing riff you got boring chord progression with no feel into it, here you got face smashing riff and a truly awesome rhythm done by two guitarists whose you can differ easly!
jacdaniel
Not crazy about that song but I rarely love singles. They tend to be generic/radio friendly. It's catchy though. I like how happy SMKC makes Slash. They're a real band, making music, doing interviews and excited to tour new material.

He will probably be of with Angus I heard an inside rumor that after watching the last GNR performance of "Rosie", Sammy Hagar had to cut off his phone because Angus kept calling him. "Yiss yiss" But psst, don't tell anyone
Annabelle
2 hours ago, Ralphelmo said: which he says were partly inspiredby a painting hanging on the bathroom wall at the Snakepit--“a picture of this kind of devilish nun,” he says. “That’s the only way I can describe it.” “It’s actually a masturbating nun,” SLASH clarifies, then laughs. “I’ve never talked to Myles about it, but the lyrics he came up with for that song, which are insanely suggestive for him, I knew they were influenced by that picture.” Devilish nuns like in The Conjuring? No thanks, I’d rather pee myself than going into that bathroom. The new song is alright. I like it.
Towelie
The follow up to "Living The Dream" will come out before a new GNR record. I would bet my left nutsack on that. 4

ludurigan
how sad is to have Slash wasting his time and musical chops on yet-another album with Myles seriously this sounds like the most generic song ever even the conspirators -- who usually sound good playing GNR songs live -- are sounding horrible, arrangements very poor drumming sucks on this song too much fills and very little groove very standard no-feel session-musician crap also has anyone noticed how horrible is the production/sound of these SMKC songs? it feels too clean and too plastic it has NONE of the swagger/grit/groove of Snakepit 1 much less GNR now let me get back to rock n roll Edited July 21, 2018 by ludurigan
Nicklord
Probably the first song of SMKC that I don't like at all. Opening and ending are great, Myles is good during verses but the song as a whole is meeeeeeeeeeh
baje
I like it Can't wait to hear the entire album
default_
Main riff is great, instrumentally it is nice overall but Myles "Nice Boy" Kennedy kills it for me. It just lacks personality and balls... But I guess we're all expecting this. Glad it is happening. 1
jacdaniel
Sounds like a bunch of Slash songs merged together. Solo sounds a bit like Ghost. I hear wicked stone in the intro. The bridge is standing in the sun. Also... Bad Rain... Driving Rain. Not a bad song but I hope there is better on the album. Much better. If not, maybe Slash will need a new project to get inspired again. Or make an album with Axl 😀 New project would probably be easier. The problem with Myles is that he seems like a nice, happy guy. Troubled singers tend to write darker, deeper, more dangerous lyrics. Those singers are often the hard work that Slash wants to avoid though. Myles has a lot of dark, deep and dangerous lyrics with Alter Bridge. I think that's just not something this whole project is aiming for
