My girlfriend seems to have pulled the trigger and got it for me for Christmas. I am not positive but I went to buy it the other day for myself and she swatted my card out of my hand, told me I needed to wait until next year to grab it then she messaged my buddy and was talking about records with him, plus the face she made when I told her I was buying it was a dead giveaway. I am 98% positive she bought it. After having one for 6 months or so, I have realized that the coolest part of the whole thing is the actual box. Got rid of the rest of the records, the demo cassette and everything. I originally wanted it for the demos LP but everything GNR does these days sort of leaves a bad taste in my mouth so I just ditched it all. I've come to realize I'm a very materialistic person and I like to flaunt things I own to people I know. I like having things that others can't or won't. In high school I rocked thrift store/yard sale clothes while everyone else wore Hollister and Abercrombie, they made fun of me now I make fun of them. Not sure on that one, but it certainly couldn't hurt to wait a couple weeks to find out. It'll really depend on how many they were able to unload on other sites. A couple of months after it was released, they somehow managed to unload some onto sites like Music Direct, etc. Then they started with the huge discounts through their own site, but the price has been pretty steady for a while since then. Based on your "I like to flaunt things I own to people I know" comment, I do have somewhat of a fixed preconception of what the people you 'know' may think about that. Also, I'd still feel pretty damn fucked over if I'd paid the original price for this ridiculous cashgrab. But honestly, 250 would be a very good price for this. Especially the with all the vinyl.
