The picture with Axl was taken at the show he says he went the night of their first meeting (at Rajis), so I guess Axl spoke to him at least one more time The stuff about Slash is really hilarious. That's it, yes. It's really cool hearing Paul talk about that stuff. I was thinking the same thing about Axl not speaking to him again.😄
Old_school_gnr_fan
Does anyone else besides me think that the "woke" culture that is sensitive to everything, might demand Guns N' Roses change their name? You know, because guns are bad and dangerous? The Dixie Chicks already caved and renamed themselves "The Chicks", and Lady Antebellum shortened theirs to "Lady A". Not that they were being forced to, but now because they have, someone out there might say the "Guns" in Guns N' Roses, or LA Guns, is offensive. Likewise, although they're no longer active, .38 Special might be forced to alter their name if someone raises a fuss. Nothing out there surprises me anymore, so if it happens, color me not shocked.

Both of those groups changed their name due to its association with racism. If Guns we’re gonna be cancelled for that it would have happened a long time ago. After having a look at the name meaning on wiki it mentions before the civil war.....

It's not that the word itself is racist, it has to do with what it's referring to. Same thing with the word Dixie (refers to the old South, Confederate flags etc). 1
King_Johnny
I ended up on this old page on the BBC website. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/1165688.stm It's a roundup of a few things that had been broadcast on UK tv that had led to complaints back in 2000/1. Embarrassingly I ended up on that page as I was looking up what William G Stewart had to say on the Elgin marbles during an episode of Fifteen to One. Jeez, what the frig has happened to me Anyway, there's a reference to the time Slash went on Saturday morning kids tv, swore and referred to getting a blowjob in a bar. I particularly enjoyed this paragraph, which I can only assume indicates LWT had no idea who the hell they had booked to appear. "The broadcaster, LWT, explained that previous live interviews with Slash had given them no reason to believe he would use expletives."
GNR_RNR
Why did Slash seem to fall out of love with 'southern rock' style guitar, been really enjoying Slash's Snakepit but he seems to drift away from that style.

It was quite serious, the doctors gave him between six days to six weeks to live. I don't know how the doctors really determined that, maybe someone who read his book can give more information. Or maybe not someone who read his book but an expert in heart issues would be better qualified. Heart specialist here. 8 years qualifying in med school. Main area of study was in cardiomyopathy. Followed by a masters degree in heart and blood studies and a further 5 years as heart consultant in a major hospital so yeah I think I'm qualified lol. Anyway Slash will be fine to play on stage. His heart is fine and most likely nearly fully recovered. He will probably be ok to start drinking again in two or three years time and start some light smoking again shortly after that.

Smart ass.😄 I meant maybe Slash had gone into more detail about what the doctors had told him about his condition.

As if the most ridiculous rumour about Slash was going to be kids tv friendly! Then they decided to continue for another three minutes and of course there was an inevitable f-word
