just play 'perhaps' to your friends or in bar, etc and people will say 'can you skip the track / change the radio station, please?'. These leaks are no 'hit material' at all. and the masses won't like it.

The masses don't like laundry bags or toy trucks either, or a L&L box. It's not about that. It's about getting your art out to your fans, which is ultimately what they all want. Axl said he hasn't worked on all this to keep it buried.

If anything, I hope they're reading this and seeing all the positive reaction to these leaks. I also hope they're seeing how many people would love to pay GNR for this music.

If anything I hope Axl reads this and sees all the positive reactions to these leaks. I hope he's seeing how many people would love to pay GnR for this music. I also hope it might convince him to use different platforms less dependent on labels and record companies to make this music available to his fans.

If anything I hope Team Brazil gets their sorry asses fired for being the worst parasitic leeches management team in music today.

LOL, we can count on several hands the amount of rumors our "insiders" have provided in the past month that haven't panned out.

Who really knows what's going on with TB, UMG and / or Axl.

BIG if (they are listening) but wouldn’t it make sense to most people that new music would be welcomed? All of the leak threads have been non stop posts. Doesn’t that show major interest for new music?

I don’t think GNR has ever questioned whether there’s interest for new music or not.

The lack of releases have more to do with internal factors than concerns over fan interest.

All I know is with all I have heard they are amazing stat of grace has me playing it on repeat!

All they would have to do is take a few of these tracks slightly mix them a little better drop a simple EP maybe called the Village session and us fans would buy the shit out of it!

Hell I know many would purchase multiple copies especially if it was 12 vinyl only!

one thing I have always wondered (because I am fascinated by the business side of music as much as music itself) is I wonder if part of the problem with the releases has been song writing credits/rights.  I have always been curious what the "nuguns" contracts looked like.  Meaning, I wonder if they had to sign a waiver saying the songs written over time would be owned by band name and label/axl or if they would still get some sort of royalty and writing credit for their part.  So say for example The General gets released and was primarily written by tommy, josh, axl, bucket, robyn, pittman and it goes to 1 and makes a substantial amount of dollars.  Yet slash records over Robyn's lead, duff records a new baseline, Frank replaces drums etc, however the song more-less remains the same.  I wonder if those old members have any legal recourse or option of royalty being a writer of the song.

If I play Seether or modern Alice In Chains (both bands I personally like and which are successful) to friends or random people, most will ask me to turn it off too.

:P

Or Marilyn Manson:

Do you want me to stop already?

Kind of "funny" when you think about it. First four new songs we get to hear from our band in 11 years are 20-year old unreleased demos...

During NuGuns era we got to hear old guns songs (live mainly) that had been written and recorded by the prior line up.

During NewGuns era we mainly got to hear NuGuns songs (leaks, and then the album)that had been written and recorded by the prior line up.

Now we're in NewOldGuns we're getting to hear songs (leaks) from prior prior lineups that were rerecordings of prior prior prior prior lineups, that were cover songs!

Thankfully we seem to have skipped Ashba.

Anything sent over from Ashba was likely forwarded straight to junk and subsequently deleted. I remember Ashba saying he'd "sent a bunch of stuff to Axl" but no-one else ever spoke of it :lol:

As far as I know musicians get royalties for writing credits even if they dont actually record the song, there is a performance royalty aswell that musicians get for recording an album even if they havent wrote a single note. Hope that helps!

How dare you forget the masterpieces that were Mi Amor and Ballad Of Death!

Oh and his remix of Better too. That one was so #demented.

To be fair, that version of Better is actually ok.

Mir Amor etc I could do without. If Guns weren't remotely associated with that tosh I don't see me sparing more than 10 seconds of my time to that kind of nonsense. With bands like The Aristocrats specialising in much more technically superior guitar (and drum) noodling there's much more music out there to donate time to.
