TheSeeker
Oh hey - I counted right! From a March 2001 Brazilian Journal interview with Beta: http://www.gnfnr.dk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=3052 Quote Q: How is the new record going to be? Beta: So great. I'm emotionally related to them but I think it will be amazing. It will be released in June or July. They already have 48 songs and the record company is selecting the material. I bet a big chunk of these are just instrumentals. so more likely like 2 albums + some instrumental leftovers. that seems more likely to me.

I feel releasable items could be even last than an album. More like EP including these 5 tracks: Atlas, Hard School, The General, Soul Monster & Going Down. estrangedtwat
1 hour ago, DieselDaisy said: How did Berlin turn into Oklahoma one has to ask? Wrong way around....Oklahoma turned into Berlin. Here's all we know about Oklahoma......it was played for a Rolling Stone reporter in 1999, as an instrumental. But Axl says it was inspired by the Oklahoma bombings that happened while he was in court fighting about something with his ex-wife Erin Everly, and he found it ironic or something that all those people were dead, and they were fighting over petty shit in court. Actually what he said was "These people want to destroy me" so it's most likely more "oh man the whole world is out to get Axl Rose boo hoo" kinda stuff. As for WHY it's called Berlin now? Nobody knows. Axl revealed that fact during one of the 2008 chats here, after CD dropped. Someone sent him a list of working titles, and he removed all the bogus ones, and confirmed the ones that were legit. Oklahoma was legit, but he simply said "It's called Berlin now." And that's that. That's all we've ever learned about this song in 20 years.

TheSeeker
Removed “Leave Me Alone”, “Broken” and “Today, Tomorrow, Forever” and re-added “Motormouth” - also added the untitled Tommy Stinson demos from the locker We’re still at 48 Since “Curly Shuffle” is apparently a cover, I wonder if the reworked “Knockin on Heaven’s Door” was submitted to the label in 2000 Edited August 31, 2019 by TheSeeker
