Jumpin' Jack Flash

Recommended Posts

I have a question about GN'R's covers of this song.

While on the interwebs I stumbled upon the older leaks of Silkworms and Oh My God. But there was something else on there, another version of Jumpin' Jack Flash. It's not the '68 Sound City demo and it's not acoustic either. This version sounds better than what was released on the AFD remaster.

Does anyone know where it came from? Sorry if this has been discussed before, or if I missed something really obvious.

I think it's the version with the verse:

Slash was drowned, he was washed up left for dead,
Steven scowled as the sight of the crust of bread.
Duff looked around, there was no sign of our friend,
Oh, Izzy was crowned, with a spike right through his face.

That was the version I always had and like it better than the one on the box set. I don't think the best domos made it onto the box set in a most cases. That acoustic JJF is fucking money though!
