©GnrPersia Posted October 30, 2019 Share Posted October 30, 2019 (edited) Dear Admins and Dear Downzy, Following your clear explanation and provided reasons to lock the thread regarding Copyright Strikes, just to clarify further for some of us members, In between the lines of your communication with TB, Was there any sort of request from the band management to lock that particular thread? I know this forum has been as open and liberal as it can be specially when it comes to critcizing and throwing frustration at the band but just want to make sure this forum is not under the influence of some mentally unstable individuals within the band management camp. No, not in the slightest. Closing it had nothing to do with with GNR management. To be clear, they have never once explicitly asked us to lock or delete a thread or post. To be honest, I don't think they spend much, if any, time on here or any other platform these days. I can't blame them for that. We closed the thread based on the content of some of the posts and the overall tone. You can disagree with my decision since there's no right or wrong answer, but that thread was becoming a vessel for some ugly and unrelated tangents and not really conducive to the kind of atmosphere we aim to have here. I thought a break of a couple of days would do everyone (including myself) some good. I also thought locking the thread after providing a summary of what is known would allow everyone a chance to read and digest known information. Otherwise responses would have hid my post and many might have missed the information within.
