I read that Myles is working on a new solo album currently - and, logically, he'll want to tour it when tours start again. So, I guess, there are no plans for SMKC in the near future (I won't pretend that I'm unhappy about this :D).

What's so bad about them? I saw a show last year and they were great.

They're just not my thing. The songs don't do anything for me, I don't like Myles, and I'm not a guitarist, so I can't like something just for the guitar playing.

I get that, but both Slash and Myles are both hardworking and do well at multi-tasking, I'm sure they will fit it in somewhere. I'm not holding my breath waiting on gnr to release something/anything so i guess we'll have to wait and see

This is true. I'm as optimistic as it gets regarding new GNR music and have still a lot of doubts that they'll release anything. And while I love the last SMKC record even more than World on Fire and Apocalyptic Love I still think Myles ruined a lot of tunes and great riffs on their 3 records. So maybe it's wishful thinking but somehow I hope that Slash tries something different and fresh when he realizes that GNR is a dead end.

That's my concern too

There was a possibility of new SMKC in 2021 but not anymore I guess.

I really don't know if we ever see a Conspirators album ever again. They've already made an album more than usual for Slash. Myles is busy with Alter Bridge and his own stuff. And if we were to believe Slash about GNR's plans to work on new material I don't know when Slash himself would find the time to record and tour another SMKC album considering a new Guns album would mean another 3 years of touring, let alone the writing and record process.

There will definitely be more SMKC in the future, he's not going to retire it. He's said that in interviews last year and I know that they were working on material for the next album while they were on tour last year.

I have to admit that it was very cool seeing Slash with SMKC at a smaller venue like the Wellmont Theater  in Montclair, NJ. I would definitely go to a fourth SMKC concert if they continue with that band. However, first is GNR with new music and a concert at MetLife Stadium next year!!!

I don't doubt that they were working on new material, but sometimes plans change and maybe Slash decides to use this stuff for something else

He's not going to use that stuff for GnR, if that's what you're implying. They're saving it for whenever they're able to start the next record.

Have you ever spent a wholly unnecessary amount of time watching different porn videos waiting for the perfect scene to dump your muck to, and then after the fact think “Shit, why the fuck did I do that?”

Also, Guns N’ Roses are garbage and there will likely be no new album, ever.

Interesting analogy there.

Everyone kinda took for granted that Lauryn had kinda just given up on music.  And I can't see why not either because, unless I'm very much mistaken, she still ain't released shit in terms of new material.  Quite frankly I wasn't a great fan of Miseducation anyway, I kinda liked her with The Fugees.

I don't think it was because she gave up on music. She did try to release an Unplugged album in 2002 (I think) but her voice was shot, she was trying an instrument (acoustic guitar) that she barely knew how to play, her "new material" was unfinished, etc. From what I heard she stole everything from Miseducation so that's probably why she never did a proper follow up. She ended up with a massive ego (wanting to be called Ms Hill) and either was late to live performances or never showed up at all. I'm the same age as her and it's weird to think she peaked when she was 23 years old. She has been promising new music longer than Chinese Democracy but fails to deliver. There's a solid reason why Pras and Wyclef want NOTHING to do with her, during the end of The Fugees and after their failed comeback.

Lol , i logged in specifically to respond to this. That really made me laugh.

Ill be in the minority and say i really cant see the band selling out stadiums through NA,if that was the propsed plan pre covid , without some sort of product or drastic change to the shows. Whos going to see them?. Majority of Casuals will im sure have seen the band.

No that's not what I wanted to say. I read all the stuff that he writes for SMKC when he's on the road with them and he writes different stuff for Guns. But no... I was thinking... when Slash realizes that Guns won't release anything new and he feels the need to release some stuff he has written over the last few years, but Myles isn't available at the time due to his own business, then maybe there is this other opportunity Slash reaches for. I have nothing specific in mind. Just something new.

But if it's SMKC again I fine with that, too.

If the plan was to release a new guns record this year, its going to be 3 years of touring so i doubt SMKC would have released anything in 2021. I personally would like slash to work with someone different, and no fuckin pink, fergie or rhiannon collaborations 🤮. Keep the same muscians just somone different to myles and call the band slashs snakepit.

The whole SMKC project seems like the nuisance for a new GN'R record. That's why it feels like a drag to see another record from them before we get anything from GN'R. But SMKC isn't the actual problem, it's more of an escape for Slash to release anything new at all. The real delay is Axl & probably TB. Well I don't think TB would wanna delay a new record, a new record means more gain for them financially.

He'll definitely wait until Myles is available but Myles will probably be interested if he has something ready to go. Myles' solo album hasn't even been recorded yet, he's just made demos of his song ideas so that's probably still a little ways down the road.

I don't think he's interested in starting a new band now, and unless Myles directly tells him that he doesn't want to do it anymore he's not going to replace Myles. That band has already been going on for 10 years and they've put out 3 albums of original material; why would he throw that away and start something new? Not to mention that he's got the perfect A list players with him.

Speaking for myself, I knew LTD was coming long before they officially announced it, so it's not like he did that record and tour because he had nothing better to do. And honestly it's been pretty clear since 2017 or 2018 that anything new from GnR would take a long time because of Axl or whatever so idk why people think that SMKC is preventing it or something. We know Slash and the others have recorded some stuff but it doesn't seem to have moved much past that stage and honestly Slash probably doesn't care that much about how soon it comes out.

Same. I preferred the 1st slash album, with different vocalists.. Myles is ok ish in moderation..and alter bridge 😄

I feel kinda bad for saying this because Myles strikes me as a really nice guy and very professional, but his voice is just so boring to me (verging on unpleasant at times). And so was every song I've ever heard from SMKC. They're... okay, but feel very generic to me and I've never had an urge to listen to any of these songs more than once or twice. Whatever it is Slash, Myles and the rest of the band are doing isn't really doing do it for me, I guess.
