once again...if you hate the band, dont go to the shows, and stop coming here and insulting members.  They are selling MILLIONS of tickets, unless you plan to organize massive protests outside each arena/stadium, you are accomplishing nothing other than running your mouth.  To think what you are doing is taking a stand and going to change GNR's ways is a joke.

GNR Camp Member: Hey Axl, a couple of guys on this forum have some complaints and demand changes

Axl: How many are complaining?

GNR Camp Member:  I dunno, maybe 200 of them

Axl: How many tickets have we sold, and out of those 200, how many have actually seen this tour in person

GNR Camp Member:  over 4 million ticket sold, currently top 5 grossing tours of ALL time, should we change it up to please these 200 people, maybe half have seen a live show on the NITL tour?

Axl:  Nah, Im all set, I look out every night to smiling faces and cheering people, think we are doing ok.

If these complaints actually even get to Axl, that is probably what the convo goes like.  Come on man.

seems like a pretty accurate conversation to me so much so that I'll continue it for you

Fer: those douches at mygnr are still spreading shit

Axl: Fucking send those fucking trolls to banish all the videos and whatever else the fuck they wanna post or complain about

Fer: Done

Axl: Thanks now get me a taco

As seen by the dismal sales of the US stadium tour so far, Axl will soon be looking out at far less people.

If the idea is "as long as Axl and GNR are getting their money, then they still won't care", then it won't matter anyway. But if they're doing these tours for anywhere near the right reasons, then it should absolutely matter to them what their die hard fans think.

We all know what will happen in March. We'll start waiting for Europe in May. Then after that the US stadium tour.

Nah, I wouldn't. But yes, there can't not be people who'll say, well ackchyually, technically they've only advertised the "all new" show starting with Europe, haven't they, so there still are heaps of Tuesdays left, right? Nope, no more of this dung.

That will be the fallback position for sure. I'm not sure I'd buy that though - why would the band take 3 months off, change nothing, start the tour off again, then make big chances in the month of April? It would seem very unlikely.

Exactly. It's March or die. Isn't that a Motorhead record or something? :D

People have been waiting for March. If Guns want to sell well in the US, they'd better play a new song in Mexico.

i live in mexico city and could foreseeably attend provide there is a 360 degree change up or some hint of it prior

but i dont see how they will sell tickets here again like they did last time though, there just isn't the demand everyone knows Axl's shape

Right, and we're still talking about the southern parts, where GNR are more beloved. The NA situation's gonna be way worse if things go downhill.

7 Tuesdays remain between now and the end of March.

Is there something brewing?

Who knows, but I'm hoping Jarmo is proven correct.

As I said before, the only thing that gives me hope is that announcing an album well after the tour announcement is the exact kind of bullshit we could expect from this management. Any other band you'd assume there would be some kind of an announcement to tie in the with the tour if there's an album coming, but with GNR there's no reason to make that assumption.

It's not uncommon for bands to announce a tour first then drop news of an album release a few weeks later, but as the weeks pass us by, this will become increasingly more unlikely and we will be treated to the same old NITL routine. I fucking hope I'm wrong.

Other than their first run through each city starting in 2016, their 2nd runs everyone was pointing out how bad ticket sales were and how arena's were half empty a few days/weeks/months after they went on sale.  And those were 15,000 seat arena's.  Turns out they sold out or near sold out most of those shows, if they didnt, they wouldnt be making another run around NA in even larger venue's, they would do Arena's not Stadiums.  I think the demand is there, but the urgency to purchase immediately is not, so people will wait until closer to the show date to buy their tickets.  In 2016, people were scared to not get a seat and were scared about stubhub prices being through the roof, so tickets went fast.  In 2017, shows sold out closer to the show date, in my case, the 2020 NJ show at Metlife is July 18, thats a long time away.  With around a 50,000 seat capacity for concerts, 82k for football, I believe they will sell out and possibly add a 2nd date down the road.  I have seen no promotion for the show in this area yet either, so outside the forum or following them on social media, most people in the area arent even aware they are playing yet.  I would expect promotion to ramp up in May/June.

There was an abundance of discounted tickets available for the NA arena run and I'm sure the upcoming stadium run will be no different.

It's odd that they're not advertising in the NYC market because they ran tons of radio promo across the rest of the US.

Either way, once the heavy discounts start coming for the stadium tour people will start to buy tickets.

interest is already not on the same initial level. Maybe the best incentive or something fans can at least count on as a reason for Axl to truly focus on recording and/or releasing the next album

That would be nice, but who knows. The band are going to get their payday for these shows regardless of how many empty or discounted seats there are. So we as fans have that working against us.

but will they still get stadium sized offers? how does that work? anyway, it's a shame the band or Axl are kinda taking their time with really going for it with the reunion shows. I guess I can see them not doing much in the studio in 2020 and in 2021 the band could be not active and Slash can do something else.

Even if they said at least that in 2021 they're gonna enter a studio and start real work that would have been at least something. Very standard thing to share for a band usually

If this tour continues to sell so poorly and has to be filled with discounted ticket sales then no, they won't get stadium sized offers anymore. However, there's always ways to just repackage things and get the same money.

In any case, most of us agree that it would go a long way if the band just communicated with their fans. Many of us, including the general public at large, seem to be done paying to see the same show again.

"Jaded - adjective; definition - tired, bored or lacking enthusiasm, typically after having too much of something."   I would say i am the opposite of Jaded, being I am not bored or complaining, and I am still enthused by them touring.  Poor word choice there.

I would think this would qualify me as a genuine fan, dont ya think?  I have seen all these shows and am excited to see them this summer at Metlife stadium.  Jaded...nah...true and excited fan...yup

I'm just glad Axl is happy. I really wish they would come back to Oklahoma. I can't afford the drive to Dallas or the tickets.
