Not sure...because of the silver bullet of GNRs Greatest Hits selling like hotcakes since its release 15 years ago. Lets be honest its not surprisjng. Considering the band released the L&L box and did the troubador show 12 months after the original anniversary date of appetite, nothing would surprise me.

Nice Boy
People still putting OIAM in their Greatest Hits suggestions, lol. C'mon be realistic, even if you like it musically, we know it will never get a re-release.
jackparker123
It's pretty incredible that to this day we've never had a GNR 'best of' album, considering we've got laundry bags and toy trucks. Maybe one day, and they might include a new song or two, and that might be how we finally get some freaking new material.

Blackstar
Main criteria: - Avoiding the "greatest hits" logic as much as possible. - Representative of the versatility and evolution of the band (and telling its story, in a way). Welcome to the Jungle It's so Easy You're Crazy (Lies or Late Show version) Nightrain Rocket Queen Used to Love Her The Garden Don't Damn Me Civil War 14 Years Breakdown Locomotive Estranged Ain't It Fun Madagascar (Rough Mixes #1 version) Spoiler Bonus: 16. Money (That's What I Want) j/k, but I think they could actually do a decent version of this song. Dean
No new music should ever be included in a compilation album in my opinion. Though would be an ideal time to chuck in a cover version of a song... "I am a lineman for the counteeeeeeeeeeee...."

Compilation albums of any kind (whether that be a greatest hits or a best of) are kind of a dead concept at this point, cause anyone could just make their own custom playlist on whatever streaming service they prefer now. Axl, Slash, and Duff, communicating through lawyers, tried to put out a Best Of in 2004, but the label blocked it in favor of the Greatest Hits release, and then after that Axl went back to focusing on Chinese Democracy, and by the time that album finally came out, music sales had declined sharply (especially for music that people already had). So the opportunity to do a Best Of album ended long ago, imo.
