In no particular order:

* Bucket's outro solo on There Was A Time.

* Robin's little solo on There Was A Time before Bucket's, that simple little ditty.

* The various takes of Bucket's solos on Dummy.

* Slash's solo on Sweet Child O' Mine.

* Slash's ending solo on the Marquee version of Whole Lotta Rosie.

* November Rain outro.

* Don't Damn me solo.

* Estranged, second solo.

* Nightrain.

1. Nightrain Outro

2. Sweet Child

3. Locomotive Outro

4. The Garden

5. Don't Damn Me

6. November Rain

7. Estranged

8. Reckless Life

9. Back Of Bitch

10. Sympathy FT Devil

I think these are my favorites in no particular order except for Nightrain.

I just choosed from the studio versions, otherwise there would have been some other solos in my list, such as Double Talkin Jive outro, KOHD from Marquee '87 and Out Ta Get Me from Ritz '88.

You mean the Quick Song disc full of alternate Bucket solos, right? Or are there alternate versions of Dummy and I somehow never noticed? :lol:

Mine, in no order:

Estranged (2nd solo specifically, but the whole song is full of great guitar playing)
There Was A Time (Buckethead solo)
This I Love (neither Dj or Slash has ever come close to the greatness of the album version)
Double Talkin' Jive outro (especially the live versions from the 90s)
Locomotive outro
Bad Apples
The Blues
Rocket Queen
November Rain
Coma

SCOM outro
Locomotive outro
Better - Bucket lick after the 1st chorus and the absolutely nuts sweep picking licks after the break / Robin's solo
Rocket Queen outro
Coma
Street of Dreams - Robin
November Rain - 1st solo and outro
Estranged - 1st solo (I think I'm in the minority here)
Nightrain - Slash
Back of Bitch

---

Honorable mentions:

Perhaps (I still think it's Robin, and not Brian May)
Don't Damn Me
TWAT - both Robin and Bucket solos are really good
Nightrain Slash outro
Ain't it Fun - intro
Raw Power

Nice pick. That might honestly be the best Slash has ever sounded on a studio recording. :slash:

TSI? as a whole is easily their best sounding album, it's a shame they wasted that tone and production style on only cover songs.

I totally agree with you. I love Slash's Illusions tone too, but the whole production sounds killer on TSI.

Funny... when I thought about TSI I thought exactly about these two songs but went with Reckless Life and SFTD instead.

Ain't It Fun has such a great guitar work, I wouldn't cut it down to the intro only and Raw Power has this powerful combination between guitar and drums beginning somewhere at 2:30 til end. Amazing.

I thought had to pick just one moment, but you're right, Ain't it Fun is awesome. I love the song, it's my favorite GNR cover by far.

Raw Power is exactly what you (and the title itself) described. I think this song would be far better to hear live instead of Attitude.

But it was just Duff singing or it had Axl too?

All those mentioned above are obvious picks.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the solo in Don't Cry: fits the song like a fucking glove. Just perfect.

This band has a ton of good solos. There's some good ones like Get in The Ring, but the obvious ones are memorable for a reason.

TWAT

Nightrain

SCOM

Estranged

Don't Cry

TIL

Double Talkin' Jive Motherfucker (Argentina 92 slash on his knees)

Rocket queen (live era)

Coma

Better

I've just put the songs and I know RQ on live era gets a lot of flak. But I kinda really like how much slash's guitar stands out and it meant i could play along with the rhythm back when i bothered to pick up my now dusty guitars!
