Yes, that was ridiculous.

doesnt mean he’s wrong in his tweet though.

Yes, and that is the larger point of all of this.  I think it is two-fold - it is very telling that a fucking rock singer is making more logical sense in this case than the Treasury Secretary - and also the fact that someone in a so-called esteemed and professional position would actively engage in a unprofessional, unbecoming Twitter feud with said rock singer lol.

And on top of that not reviewing his own Tweet to make sure he at least got the flag of our country correct

Then again when I think of who is sitting in the White House and the types of Tweets that come from that particular man, "professional" and "logical" are two words I would not put checkmarks next to

It’ll get interesting if Mnuchin brings up Lisbon, Poland.

This is getting entertaining

If Axl wanted to get attention on twitter, 1) he would tweet more often 2) he would tag the politicians (Mnuchin, in this case) he calls out in his tweets. Mnuchin, on the other hand, being Secre

True but I think the stuff he says on Twitter is fucking retarded for the most part. And he’s being a hypocrite for criticizing Mnuchin about travel when performed a stadium show at the start of the pandemic.

Maybe you’d have a point if Axl were receiving the same daily briefings and had the same available info as Mnuchin

Was it possibly shaky judgement at the time? Sure. That’s not at all comparable to what was being accused here. It’s not on the same level

Should we ask Rose what his opinion on herd mentality or immunity is? Rose is just another hypocrite, playing shows during the pandemic, self-isolating in a mansion, like all the other hypocrites who like to hector people. His opinion isn't worth a wank.

Mnuchin should ask why One in a Million didn't make it on disc 2.  Then One in a Million will trend on twitter and everyone can remember the real Axl not the woke version.

Like I have been saying, that is the whole point.  You know it is sad when someone in the professional position the Treasury Secretary is in, is in the objective wrong

At that point what Axl did or didn't do in Mexico is irrelevant.  It is more about who our so-called leaders are in this country and that incompetence manifested in a Twitter feud with a rock singer making more sense than he is

I don't even know who this Munchkin fella is.

Rose can comment on politics all he wants but then why should anyone listen to a rock singer who has been effectively washed up since 1993?

Well, a member of the U.S. government thought that what Axl had to say was worth replying, then the media all over the world thought that was worth reporting, and Axl's tweet now has about 120,000 likes.

He's the guy that got money out to Americans and small businesses in record time so we can eat and pay bills to get through the shutdown.  But some people aren't happy that Trump put his name on the checks.  Axl didn't get a check because he makes more than $100,000 a year and isn't married and has no kids to feed.

The problem is Axl doesn't tag who he's tweeting at so Trump probably doesn't see them.

agreed, but he didn't tag Mnuchin either and he responded within an hour (or so) of Axls tweet.  and with all the news this made today, I'll be willing to bet Trump has heard about it.

I mean Axl called the first lady an "alleged" escort over Twitter a few years ago....

I'm just really hoping for Axl/ Trump: Get in the Ring part 2: who's orange colored weave will fall off first?

Are you seriously comparing a high-level government official to a rock musician?

Only thing im comparing is how poor both are at communication.

He gave us our own $ back that will be taken from future tax returns

He led the SBA program that allowed banks to favor clients that had leveraged debt, awarded businesses that were pro Trump or allowed publicly traded companies collect from its coffers and left much of Main Street to fight over scraps

^^^This statement is incorrect. The Trump regime denied the money to US citizens who happen to be the children of immigrants, among others racist and xenophobic fuckery.

When Axl says the US government should be taking care of their own citzens, that's hardly just an opinion. Even if it was, he's just right.

He shouldn't get the Mexico gig going. But the situation is BY FAR worse now.

Indeed. Axl is a well-known public person. There's a reason why media is reporting it.

You realize Axl and the band has nothing to do with this? They show up if the promoter says the show is on. If it’s not, the promoter refunds your $

Growing up I always thought axl was counter-culture and dangerous. Sad to see him another basic, brainwashed, Hollywood liberal with no connection to the hardworking folks that make up the brunt of the country.

It's a fundamental principle of mine(and any reasonable adult human) to be able to go through life coping with the reality that 'everyone' might not agree with 100% of your thoughts.

So when I see people whining celebrities like Axl don't share their political views, for example, I think oh my gosh what a fucking pussy.

Same way that Axl never replies to fans or gives updates on music but happy to push his political views on everyone.

Sorry, but this is nonsense.

Nobody is forced to follow Axl on twitter. You have the freedom not to listen.

If you don’t want something shoved down your throat, don’t open your mouth.

I mean, with all due respect  the way I look at it, either someone is right or they aren't - "Hollywood", "liberal" and "basic" are just buzzterms the right use for discrediting, not anything that really means much factually here

I can't see what is sad about him having to correct a so-called person in a position of political power other than the fact it is sad the Treasury Secretary is logically worse for wear compared to the lead singer of the band that did "Cornshucker" lol

When a news organization like Bloomberg News, Politico, NY Times, etc. are writing articles regarding current events and a rock singer, I wouldn't say he's washed up.

Its unavoidable dont you see?

His tweets are put on every gnr forum, every music website, every news website and even the news on television. People are following him for his music endeavors not his random political rants.

Its truly unfortunate that this is all the news we get from him.
