El Guapo 1,136
Yeah, nothing to complain here, really. It's not great that you can't here the audience at all again, sounds kinda sterile because of that. And, but that's completly subjective, I'm just super tired of the same old songs over and over again.

Lies They Tell 1,317
Wow, that was one beautiful Coma! I wish they had picked Better from Houston cause that was really the best version of Better from NITL tour.

zigzagbigbag 508
Don’t want to complain but are you guys seriously saying Axl nailed Coma?! You must be kidding. If at all, it was ok. Nothing more. In fact, Mickey was always right about to come through. 1

Coma is a ludicrously difficult song to sing, particularly the last 3 minutes, and for an ageing man he sang it very well I think. He's never going to sing it the same as he did on a studio recording he recorded half his life ago.

He should have just used his speaking voice within the last three minutes like he did for some verses. It sounds sonmuch much better. I am just watching the Axl/Dc show from Philly 2016 which was weeks ago from GNRs Houston show. Axl was so on fire and that good in ACDC. I still cannot get why he is/was so shitty in GNR but that awesome in a foreign band. Its just like watching/hearing two different people. I am really glad that I saw Axl/Dc back then in Hamburg.

It was about as good as you could reasonably expect a 55-year-old Axl Rose to sound on it. I've been pretty critical of Axl over the last couple years but there's really not much to complain about in the newest video.

But the best a 55 year old can offer?! Come on. As I said above, just watch any Axl/Dc show from 2016 and you see what this 55 year old guy named Axl is able to deliver if he wants to. It is lightyears away from that Coma performance. Edited August 29, 2020 by zigzagbigbag

Dude, Axl struggled with the ending of Coma even in his peak. A tiny bit of realism wouldn't hurt. Comparing AC/DC songs which are like tailormade for Axl's voice to one of the most difficult songs on the GNR setlist is kinda pointless.

I wouldn't compare the ending of Coma to anything from the AC/DC catalogue, it's not like he can bust out the Back In Black screams on something like that. The lines where he did scream sounded just as good as the 'ac/dc voice' though. In the context of how he's sounded for the last decade, and the delivery style of Coma, it was pretty damn good. If they were gonna upload any performance of Coma, I'm glad they picked this one.

moreblack 1,979
We got the album songs in stereo, you only got to hear this once
DaveHawk 3
Audio in mono is a strange choice...strange and poor. New Rose is way too fast, and some guitars are a little out of tune...I suggest to buy a Tc-Electronic Polytune 3 Axl has the old "timing" problems...he's a little too fast sometimes, like he often did...but is still great in some parts! Come is what you can expect from AXL in these times...not bad
Nice Boy 329
I'm pretty sure the Axl timing issues are to do with audio delay on the huge PA. Anyway at least he doesn't have the old timing issues of singing all the songs 5 hours late Edited August 29, 2020 by Nice Boy

El Guapo 1,136
The timing issues really hurt a lot of otherwise good performances. And again, why is Axl Rose the only professional singer who can't get that sorted out?
Free Bird 2,052
It was definitely the best NITL select vid so far, because of Axl. And still, it hurts sometimes listening to close when you are honest. The band sounds great on this but they sounded great on the other vids too, IMO. So the best way for me to enjoy this is to not fully concentrate on Axl. He nailed OTGM and a lot of other parts though, so nothing to complain about, really. Some even discovered noodling during the November Rain solos. I couldn't figure it out but... but each to his own I guess. All in all it was fun to watch and I'm still hoping for more. Seems like Fernando enjoys the positive comments and considers even fan choises for next vids.
