NITL live videos on youtube

This was poor. Being brutally honest there hasn't been a single Selects package that has delivered the goods. Crap mixes either ruin 'ok' performances, or the vocal is just crap and then I don't care what happens, it sucks if the vocal sucks. I know some will point to Mexico but if that's the 'high standard' these days we need our heads checked! We heard the man sing high standard in 2016, he didn't bring that to GNR.

Finally, Estranged was god awful! Slash sounds like a robot! what the hell happened to my favourite guitar player? no 1 he's trying to shred but he has this weedy guitar tone and he just can't make the notes happen... In my eyes he's almost as disappointing as Axl... ALMOST! Axl just sounds terrible, and there's no other way to put it! You should be able to get a refund if he sounds like this. It's like going to see a movie and half the screen is blank for the duration, not what you paid for!

Only plus for this is that the mix was a bit better overall.

Maybe it's my shitty speakers but can't hear any bass in the mix. Axls voice for the second half of estranged, I just want to cry. any gig from 2006, 2010, 2012 or 2016 proved this guy was the greatest even with old age and lack of effort. but why choose 2019 when his voice is shot to bits. His low voice is still good, but everything else... my partner looked over and was like 'who the hell is that trying to sing GnR' I said that's axl. 'Oh. That's a shame' She's right. It is. I like witchita lineman though, he should be singing more songs like this, as that's all he can still sing

I think Slash's guitar from Wichita Lineman might be pregnant after that...

Like this Select, a pretty good showing of a 2019 gig.

The 2020 delay in touring might actually be to GNR's benefit in the long run, Axl's voice sounds tired, good, but tired.

probably because of the overwheight

There's a bit of pick noice, but there's not much else certainly buggar all low end... sure why would you want low end from a bass?

It's either the bass is booming and you can't hear the drums, or you hear the drums and can't hear the bass. Thank the heavens Fernando spent weeks checking these videos, such a great job he did!!

2006 was THE year... Great line-up and setlist, Izzy and Baz, new songs... What the hell happened since then?

Yeah low end from your bass, who wants that right? Let's just make it sound like an acoustic guitar being plucked! The drum mix isn't too bad for a change, but it would be too much to be able to hear all the instruments as they should be. Shame on us for expecting that 7 months after the first selects.

First time I saw them in 2006, 3 hours late, but jeez it was electric. Then in 2010 was at reading festival when he done the sit down protest coz they were late. His voice was ace and his attitude was there. The crowd was on edge, it was so real. The NITL shows were nice in 16/17. No danger, no great atmosphere, but now there's nothing. Tired band playing tired hits. It's not just that I'd love new music, I feel like its the only thing to get the bands juices going again live. And if it bombs and they break up, so be it.

I took a walk today and played some of the locker stuff- it really hit me how much has changed. That stuff is interesting, creative, different, full of passion......and it's been thrown away to be replaced by what?

Perhaps the industry broke them- a industry that gives big rewards to those who just want to live in the past.

Perhaps all those dull people who want to pretend it's the past, and will praise anything that supports that notion got to them.

Perhaps they got tired of trying to do something challenging and different and risk some people not 'getting it'  when it's easier to simply do what the masses want and offer them simplicity?

Maybe it was just all too draining, trying to win people over when you can just play the same old songs to them, and be better financially rewarded for doing so.

Whatever the case is.....it's a fucking tragedy that all those ideas and energy are rotting away in favour of what we currently have.

It's time to light that fire again, or just snuff out the candle flame.

Exactly, I don't really care if GNR break up now. I would care if a member died obviously, but I don't really care about them breaking up because as far as I'm concerned they are already semi-retired! they just like to get out of the house and stretch their legs from time to time with touring.

2006/2010/2012 there was energy and yeah Axl was acting the bollix for all of those except fro 2006! but he sounded good and I felt like I got my monies worth! 2017? I saw them twice and I enjoyed them... but I had lots of beer😄

New music or bust.

I turned it off before Slash kicked in during the intro of Estranged. Axl can't even sing in a low voice anymore. That was trash, and I don't believe it will ever get better. I can't believe that this was worse than Rock In Rio with the damn raincoat.

Fucking hell Axl.

Edit: it also looks like he cut his own hair.
