Popular Post AxlIsGod.
After looking back over the recent proshot footage (including remixes @SMG), I decided to have a bit of a proshot browse of older shows and man... How fucking good was the RAR06 show? Like; performance, sound, video, mixing etc. all spot on. I feel like we forever lament RIR's shitty mixing or Axl's off days but boy the stars did align for Rock am Ring 06. Even the set felt nice and lean, with no bloat or songs they just go through the motions on. To this day it's the only GNR proshot where I feel the whole show is just spot on and one I'd share and show mates to try and explain why i love live GNR so much. I've known this for years but man, going back now gives me a different perspective. What are your ult proshots? 7

Alejandro GNR
Yesterday I was watching Rock in Rio 2006 (in Lisbon) and Axl kinda mixes his old 90’s voice with his 2000’s voice...its very interesting to see and kinda gave me the impression he could do either of them and maybe still can. Listen to that KOHD and you’ll realize what I mean. 2
Evil Doer
Probably my favorite Nightrain ever

Alejandro GNR
Is it safe to say the 2006 line up blows the actual one away in terms of live performances??? 2
James Bond
To be fair, Rock Am Ring mixes their shows after the fact so it is a step above the live feed of RIR.

Songs were also played in the right speed
t-p-d-a
Rock Am Ring 2006 was not broadcasted live. It was shown later on WDR. So they had time. They had technic problems during Welcome To The Jungle and they lost some scenes... they paste some scenes from a other moment in the song, that's why it's look like he is lip singing but that's not the case. And they cut some songs like Madagscar, Out Ta Get Me and Bumblefoots Solo. The gig was 2 hours long

That's what I love about his '06 voice there's powerful rasp and the clean is so strong
hudsonsaul
Yup I really enjoyed RAR '06, and will go have a watch again later (Thanks for the reminder). Axl was in good shape vocally and physically in '06 too. The band were really tight as well.
ChristianGNR
That’s a OVERRATED show for 2006 stardand levels if you compare shows like download, nova rock, Greece and many others from that same leg, they are even better. Popular Post ObsessionofVanity
I would kill for the Gibson 2006 shows on a proshot. That shit is my great white buffalo. 06 is my favorite era.
Alejandro GNR
I think we have a new love for that era, cause if my mind doesnt fail me, when we heard Axl on Better RAR 06 we thought he sounded like a dying cat hahaahah Time made us realize he was still pretty good back then. For me the Axl Dc best shows are the ones closer to his god singing level...followed by 2010
