@action I think most of those you are addressing have you on ignore

they don't have to read my opinions if they dont want to. the ignore option was installed precisely for this purpose. the ignore button is an option for people who do not want to read dissenting opinions. Of course, those dissenting opinions don't go away; they're still there. A button to remove dissenting opinions is not available to common posters, because there wouldn't be many posts left that way.

a fool never changes his mind, and accepts the consensus like a blind man

a wise man, always questions the facts, always challenges the consensus, learns new things every day, and is not afraid to change their mind and report those changes

there are fools in spades, wise men are a rare gem, to cherish and to polish

kings have aspired whisdom, few have succeeded.

anyone who calls themselve wise, is a prat.

but it's not either fool, or either wise man. there are many shades between.

Posters like action are why I always keep coming back to the forum for more :rofl-lol:

This little community we got going here is like a forum soap opera, in a way it's a reflection of real life. You find people that inspire you and you get the occasional nutjob. Giving the right of free speech to the earlier mentioned nutjob, Is a sign of good moderation. However I would like to remind said people(nutjobs) that there is a limit to what they can say :)

my previous claims about fraud in scientific research, have been confirmed once again.

this time, there is a big scandal around research to alzheimer disease

source:

https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2022/07/alzheimers-disease-data-fraud-sylvain-lesne/670995/

https://www.nbcnews.com/science/science-news/alzheimers-theory-undermined-accusations-fabricated-research-rcna39843

the reason for fraud is apparent. it benefits big pharma who earn lots of money on the back of millions of innocent people

Scientifc research, wide and about, is corrupted by fraud and economic interests that dont consider the health of the people

why would it have been different with corona? pharma has earned BILLIONS of profit over covid vaccines, on the back of questionable scientific research

there's fraud in every field, cause humans are gonna human. It doesn't prove your outlandish claims about science as a whole, not even close. Another silly post by you to get attention and sell your snakeoil "philosophy" of life which is that thoughtful and careful observation and experiment don't mean shit as long as you just "trust yourself and your instinct" which is ludicrous.

it doesn't matter that there is fraud in "every field".

"other" fields (not specified by you), do not hold the position that science holds in society.

science has replaced religion, as a paradigm for most people to give the answers of life.

Questions that people asked to a priest in the early days, today they ask the experts. Even the politicians ask the experts, what they should do.

So science, is in the position of carrying the responsability to give the "right" answers.

responsability means, accountability1

Fraud in the scientific field, on a large scale2, is unacceptable.

an example of the problem with how science is practised in current times

hypocrisy and smugness, and shamelessly contradicting themselves
