To a point. But to be fair, he's not calling for Goodyear to be banned from anything, he's trying to get people to boycott.

President Trump said Tuesday he believes Goodyear Tire workers "will be able to get another good job," after he called for a boycott of the company following reports that an Ohio plant had banned his red "Make America Great Again" campaign hats.

Sounds like he wants Goodyear to be canceled outright if employees need to find new jobs.

Usually when someone says "do your own research" they never actually give you resources to start with. I'm going to start asking people "what are the last 3 non fiction books you read" when I get into my next in person political argument. I'm expecting lots of stammering

I'm looking forward to when you ask me that question :P

What are your last three?

The Philosophy of Jesus by Peter Kreeft

Age of Entitlement: America Since the 60's by Christopher Caldwell

Supermob by Gus Russo

Up next

Simulacra and Simulation by Jean Baudrillard (really going to dive into this guy's work, which I've been meaning to do for some time)

Now you go.

It's more fun to ask someone in person since they can't google it front of you (without losing face) and you can watch them sweat and stammer!

Well, the last three non fiction books I read are,

Decorative Wood Finishes, a practical guide, by Annie Sloan

Nourishing Traditions, by Sally Fallon (cook book)

Matty Matheson: A Cookbook, by Matty

A collection of Black Mask lithographs, with curation and few essays by Ben Morea

hehe, kinda not what you were intending to uncover though is it?

So I will share that I also just read,

The Simple Life, Christian Stance Towards Possession, by Vernard Eller (Im basically always reading some Eller)

Undoing Border Imperialism, by Harsha Wallia (had to re read for review)

Turn this World Inside out; the emergence of Nurturance Culture, by Nora something.

And the recent edition of the journal Upping The Anti Hs been thoroughly leafed through.

Up next,

Myth and Mayhem (about Jordan Petersons thoughts) numerous authors including Ben Burgis

Home Style Cookery, by Matty Matheson

****

I boned up on Baudrillard at the encouragement form another forum member. Nice!

It details the Chicago outfit's move to Los Angeles and how they came to have influence in things such as the tv and movie industry. Some interesting nuggets were how they got their hands on a lot of the confiscated wealth from interned Japanese during WWII. Also details how in bed Reagan was with them. There's also allegations that Reagan raped a woman.

Huh, I dont know what I was anticipating, but that aint it. Sounds juicy.

I have some unless factoid in my brain about how the mob killed beta videos because, though they were better quality, they were more expensive to make. And the power of the porn industry was enough to set the industry standard as VHS. Not all that different from what Steve Jobs did to music.

Smh.

Wait until “cancel culture” gets a hold of the lyrics to “One in a Million”.  Oh, that’s gonna be fun.

Actually, if they get a hold of the lyrics to about half of the GN’R catalogue, watch out.

Is there any reason why someone would want to do this?  I didn't think Chris Cornell was a contraversial figure.

This it what it looks like now...

I guess Antifa wanted to show that he was "white" not "bronze"...the original color.

What a bunch of muppets.

Maybe it was 8 year olds with no politics in mind.

Maybe it was Pizzagaters.

Maybe its a twisted minds artistic expression.

Maybe the authorities will find a flock of dehydrated seagulls nearby... :P

Maybe a touched Stan is mad at Vicky for the whole fight with the surviving members over unreleased recordings.

Maybe it was a mourning parent who just lost a child to suicide and in their grief blame their child's hero for influencing the act.

...or the most likely scenario being a bunch of kids that “think” they know what they’re protesting about but in fact....don’t have a clue....

:P
