Russ, you prefer Fank on drums so you don't count.

It's weird, but I'm in a similar position as you were years ago. Maybe not in the same extent, though.

I'm getting criticized for liking Slash in GNR more than any other guitarist, but I just don't care anymore at this point.

I'm still blown away by his style, even on some of his takes on CD and I didn't like Finck to beginn with, especially live, why should I have changed my opinion by now? It's what it is and I have to deal with it.

If I were you, I'd disregard and completely ignore anyone criticizing you for preferring Slash, as that's utterly ridiculous, of course. I mean, what the fuck. It's Slash. And if he's sloppy, that's cause he improvises, immerses into the solo. Or because it's not his song and he's bored. Anyway, Slash is the man. Anything else is just irony.

Ok- here's a thought.....

Would anyone have taken Slash not coming back in favour of a new album?

I think, all considered, I would sacrifice the great times I had at NITL shows if it meant a new album.

I wish Slash hadn't gone back, I'd have saved money by not going to NITL and probably gotten more new music from Slash.

I don't think it makes any difference who's in the band with regards to new music from Axl, I think the last 20+ years have proven that.

The new album would of been with Dj Ashba if slash never came back. N0 THANKS.

If the choice was that, or Slash returning, but nothing new ever?

I'd honestly go with a new album with Ashba on.

I realize this all totally hypothetical of course- I don't think for one second we'd have got a new album either way.

I'd rather have CD2 as it existed in 2014ish with Robin, Bucket, DJ, and Bumblefoot than it being messed with further by the current lineup.

What if all parts were re recorded by dj ashba and bumble and no robin or bucket?

I'd probably still prefer that over the current lineup, though less than ideal, obviously.

The ideal scenario for me would probably be:

CD2 as it is, no re-records etc.

Entirely new album from the current lineup.

Then also some sort of release featuring all the offcuts from the CD era.

Three things that won't happen, but I'd love it if they did!

Our best chance for original CD stuff untouched would be an eventual anniversary box set, which isn't looking so likely since the major fan base doesn't seem to care as much about that era vs classic era.

Yep, the interest in that era is really low, sadly. It's a real shame.

Ideal to build excitement for the end of the month, assuming it’s from 2016.

Looks like it's not :max:

I'd still love a 4k and properly mixed BluRay/digital release of a good 2016 show

Its going to have something from Mexico 2016, well at least one song.

the copyright tags which show what songs are in it shows twat

We know the only time it was played in Latin America was 20.04.2016.

It may end up having several different clips, but twat at least is from Mexico City.

Maybe we’ll get one to celebrate the 31st anniversary of the tour kicking off?

the automatic tracklist for copyright under the video shows "Godfather Theme". "Sweet Child O' Mine Live Hard Rock Casino 2012" and "There Was A Time"

Maybe they will cut in Bumblefoot playing the solo for TWAT.

I'm happy with the amount of Chinese Democracy songs included in the selects so far, assuming the copyright in the description about TWAT is correct. It's nice to see that they haven't been swept aside in favor of songs we've all heard a million times.

Do I really want to watch Slash butcher TWAT though? Not really.

i hope TWAT is from Mexico 2016. Axl sounds out of breath and Slashs Solo is LA LA but anway.. good to hear, nothin more

I hope of more songs, maybe the automatic copyright system doesn't reconize all songs

I'd be so happy to have Better from the second Chicago in 2016. It was so good and fan videos confirm it.

I'm really surprised that Sorry and TWAT have had selects before Better, would be cool to have a good video of that one for sure. I actually quite like Slash's solo and the "new" intro is an added bonus
