I was interested to see if they would do anything different live versus on the recording. On only one take it sounds like Axl elevated his vocals during the second half of Slash’s solos. That's what happens when you record something that is in your "limits of performance" and then you go live and play it along with other 3453 songs. James Bond Posted September 27, 2021 Share Posted September 27, 2021 There's still something really unhealthy sounding about when Axl goes for the raspy highs. The enunciation and gurgling sound when he first gets into the choruses is akin to what has been popping up regularly this leg even in Nightrain and other songs that typically sounded good no matter the night.
