He should really try a different approach for You Could Be Mine. Still skipping lines and unable to quite get it out. I still say he could get away with singing it entirely in his natural voice and duck the highs.

Yeah that's what I've been saying too. Would sound good too.

Lots of pitch control issues from Axl tonight.  There's moments where he can locate his pitch, especially in the lower or higher ranges.  But the middle range is a mess. I'm not talking about rasp, power, or any other variables.  He's just not finding the right pitch for a lot of mid-range vocals.

They didn’t do HS lol

honestly you really don’t notice the vocal shit live, I’m not saying it’s not there but it’s still a great show in person

I'm glad his vocal issues are not apparent for those attending.  I do agree being there makes his challenges less noticeable.

But there were a couple of moments tonight watching on Facebook where I literally laughed out loud.

At least he's trying, having a good time, and, by all accounts, people there are having a great time.

No fireworks, no confetti...

Just doesn't feel right after two decades of lighting litter on fire.

----------------

Loving the comments on the Facebook stream after PC.

"That isn't it!"

"It's only 10:45!"

"They haven't played Don't Cry yet!"

Band comes back to take a bow.

"Told you they weren't done."

you think budget cuts?

No idea.  Maybe.  But probably not.  At least not with the confetti.  I can't see it adding that much to touring costs.

Perhaps the janitors union demanded the end of confetti.

Maybe they felt the gimmick had gotten old.

Axl in a great mood, talking a lot between songs.

Absurd played live for third time.

Hardschool not played.

Technical issues during WTTJ

@RussTCB had a great time! :)

I'll post more thoughts tomorrow but I had a LOT of fun tonight.

My 15 year old said it was amazing, so I'm glad he had such a good time.

Glad you guys enjoyed the show man.

That's how it was in Hershey.  I know they had their issues that night and it wasn't Axl's best ever but damn it was still a great concert.  I have no regrets about going and I'm glad you went and had a good time too man.

I know we have debated about this tour but I feel like it's going pretty well!

If you check out AC/DC's Live At River Plate and listen to what Brian Johnson does with songs like Hells Bells and Thunderstruck, it's a good example of an approach Axl could take with a lot of the struggle songs. I realize AC/DC also tunes a semitone lower than the original keys with Brian, but nevertheless you can hear how he changes up the vocal melodies to duck key high notes while still maintaining consistency in his voice. He doesn't just sing everything an octave lower or anything drastic like that, but he takes key shortcuts that don't really change the overall feel of the vocals but are clearly a lot easier on his voice.

I so wish Axl would do that. Sing certainly lines a fifth lower or something and harmonize with Melissa if there's a key high melody.
