New Slash interviews (The Oakland Press, Spin Magazine)

Recommended Posts

Interesting that Gilby helped get Slash into pinball. Since Gilby ended up suing Guns over the first pinball machine.

I also thought it was cool how casually Slash seems to have mentioned Gilby. As if in Slashs mind Gilby is a household name. And is very much part of the Guns family after all these years.

It's mostly about the pinball machine.

He says he has been working on new music for both GN'R and SMKC and "is confident some of it will be released during 2021".

He hopes the summer tour dates will happen.

I'm also confident we'll get SMKC.

I'm almost certain about ACDC putting out another album in 2021!

And not to mention Michael Jackson's upcoming album.

  • Blackstar changed the title to New Slash interviews (The Oakland Press, Spin Magazine)

Another interview (also mainly about the pinball machine) in Spin Magazine:

https://www.spin.com/2020/11/slash-guns-n-roses-pinball-interview/

The new music question:

Q: So when Guns gets back out onstage in Australia next year, is it possible there might be some brand new music in the setlist?

Slash: It would be way too early to say anything like that. [Laughs] That’s a good question, but…sorry!

Slash's recent comments I think more than confirms there is no "new" music on the horizon ....

Doesn’t sound very optimistic to me...

It’s quite clear to me he just isn’t giving anything away.....as in ‘nice try but you ain’t getting the scoop’. If he says ‘Yeah’ then shit gets real....people (fans) have a timeline to work to for new stuff to be heard...questions ramp up re the new music etc.

Disclaimer - I don’t actually agree at all with this approach and would rather there was some more concrete news (we are working on 16 tracks ATM or something) to keep us engaged. But I don’t see anything other than ‘playing the game’ above as opposed to negative. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I dont understand the game playying either, I wish they would be straight with us...no new music or concrete information.  I wonder why they do this.

Because then the media will start running stories saying "Slash confirms new GnR music is coming in 2021” or whatever, like what they did earlier this year. They don't want that until they're actually ready to announce something.
