I thought Republicans were suppose to be the law and order party:

Desantis pardoning any person in Florida that was charged with violating covid restrictions.

Apparently they've paid too high a price for acting irresponsibly.

Politicians calling for peace as if the US' full-throated support behind the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians was ever peace.

Bernie's take

Now if you ask me. I'm fed up with this Israel/Pelestinian conflict. I don't think the U.S. nor anyone else should move a finger.

Well given how much in aid the US gives Israel, not moving a finger is already siding with them on this.

Not to mention they use their power to veto and reject even the most toothless condemnations of Israel's abuses.

Considering the news, I guess it’s not a huge surprise Trump has collected the $65k in pension funds he accrued during his time as President since leaving office. I guess every dollar counts at this point.

It is political suicide to turn on Israel. Most Americans support Israel.

That support is going down among the general public, especially with the younger demographics. Once the boomers die off I could see a scenario where Israel will become more of a liability rather than a positive for a politician to support.

Or merch imagery for the next Chinese Democracy tour:

Similar to how Republicans called Biden Socialist and made him seem way cooler than he really was.

Although I'm surprised to see someone unironically call themselves a proud neo-liberal. That's not something you see everyday.

Perhaps it is ironic.

Then again, the term "liberal" has been assigned, co-opted, and by so many different factions that at this point it could mean almost anything.  Neo-liberalism for anyone coming to politics now might mean the re-emergence of liberal progressivism.

Just a reminder: Trump pardoned this asshole...

Someone should really tell the family of the more than a half a million Americans who died and the likely millions dying in India right now that it’s all just a hoax.

What an absolutely terrible human being.

Evidence of criminal activity by Trump, the Trump Organization, and executives of the Trump Organization are now being reviewed by a grand jury in New York.

My money is still on Trump turning on his sons to avoid prison time.  If I'm Eric or Don Jr., I've got my own separate legal council.

Republicucks really did not want the Jan 6 Commission to pass. Don't want to upset their feudal overlord.

It’s fine. Democrats will investigate it themselves through a Benghazi-like select committee.

Republicans sure have a hard time helping themselves.

As many of you know, I pay little to no attention to politics. I have a question: why does Trump keep telling people he's going to be reinstated in August?

The short answer is that he is a moron, the long answer is just that he is a moron with more words.

Because a guy who sells pillows keeps telling him that the third recount taking place in Arizona will prove voter fraud.  This will in turn provoke other swing states that went for Biden to start their own highly partisan voter recounts that will, according to Mr. My Pillow, result in the election being rendered null and void and Trump being reinstated.

It's pure lunacy.  There's no legal mechanism to render an election null and void.  Even if inconclusive proof was discovered that demonstrated both Democrats and Republicans swung the election for Biden (again, keep in mind Republicans were in charge of elections in Georgia and Arizona, states Biden won), at worst it would mean that Biden would maybe step down and Harris, his VP, would take over.  Or say both stepped down.  Then Nancy Pelosi, the third in line by virtue of her being the Speaker of the House, would become President.

Again, there is no legal recourse or mechanism by which Trump becomes President short of running again in 2024.
