Guest Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 I guess it leaked last week, I didn't see a discussion topic. Features Izzy's new Les Paul, a Sax player, "this is for Michelle" and Back off Bitch. Average Audio and average video quality too but awesome performance. Quote
anchel2 Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 what's the name of the song they're playing with the sax player? 2 Quote
Blackstar Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 There is also a small clip from the after-show party at Vicky Hamilton's place, where Slash is seen introducing Vicky and Tom Zutaut (?) to someone. 1 Quote
JimiRose Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 Why is there a No Links, no asking for links caveat on this? It's over 35 years old, before they'd even released an album? Quote

It's over 35 years old, before they'd even released an album? Copyrighted material. It's still under the gnr umbrella (even a year before AFDs release) meaning they control the right to how it's used or not used... and unfortunately gnr deem a gnr specific forum sharing videos of them to be counter to their best interests... obviously they wouldn't like vault material leaking though (I'm on about phone videos mainly). I think if gnr intended on releasing such a show it would have been on the boxset. From that point of view they shouldn't really give a toss. 2 Quote
t-p-d-a Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 very talented band. I really like the singer 1 Quote

DurhamGirl Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 Wow the rawness , energy and Axl's voice, they really did have it all. Quote
Daedalus Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 Adler looks great on drums. And hell yea, go-go dancers! Quote
Kelmi Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 Wonder if this video was shot by Marc Canter? Who else could it be since the filmer was allowed backstage as seen at the end of the video. I really enjoyed the video and thought that the video/audio quality is enjoyable. Raw and some would say average but still.. a piece of history. Quote
G O A T Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 What a band they were. They weren't even aware at that point how good they actually were. The groove on OTGM is as good as it gets. Quote

It's not what we want either but it's better than losing the forum 3 1 Quote
DTJ80 Posted April 11, 2021 Posted April 11, 2021 Is this the same gig that the SCOM leak came from a while back? Quote

Tom-Ass Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 Maybe not the greatest quality but better than any other video I think I have seen from 86. I would kill to see a full clip of that Jumpin Jack Flash performance \m/ Quote
Nice Boy Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 Quality looks and sounds really good considering 86 ! Loads of songs too. It's real easy to find that footage btw, no need to ask for a link at all Quote
Gordon Comstock Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 11 hours ago, anchel2 said: what's the name of the song they're playing with the sax player? Probably Anything Goes, in Reckless Road it says there was a jam section during that song. Quote

The SCOM debut (and Mr Brownstone and Ain't Goin' Down) was August 23. From Reckless Road: "This show was prime Guns N' Roses". Axl's parents flew out from Indiana to see this show, and Axl dedicates WTTJ to them. Slash thought the crowd could be livelier. They had Desi onstage during Anything Goes and 3 strippers onstage during Jumpin' Jack Flash. The guy who played saxophone also gave the band dilaudid suppositories, which Axl and Slash took but did not enjoy 1 1 Quote
Nice Boy Posted April 12, 2021 Posted April 12, 2021 (edited) Nice to see Izzy actually enjoying himself Seems curious Axl's parents watching the show, I thought he was still at odds with them at this point Edited April 12, 2021 by Nice Boy Quote

Interesting story! 🤣 I need to read Reckless Road properly actually - had it for years and have only skimmed through it. Quote
