These 'fans' think they're doing it for Axl/TB, real fans love the stuff that Gibbo, Frans and others put out. 

The GNR Selects does more damage to the band than anything the fans have posted.

I guess it's important to remember it's not all the fans, just a small group of very peculiar, socially retarded losers whose stock trade is online bullying and abuse, while pretending they stand for the opposite. 

I suppose it gives them some sense of purpose and makes them feel important to do it, but it's just utterly tragic. I'm also sure they find it very amusing to do it, and see how it annoys people, but really people just find it pathetic.

Cue a few "new users" or old users who registered ages ago but posted twice popping up to troll and send abuse! Fucking sadsacks.

His fan page did nothing to harm gnr, I would be curious to hear the explanation. Only thing I can think.if is that I don't think Facebook pays royalties, so it's likely that would be the reason for banning the page.

When they ban a YouTube page it's nuts because the money is automatically funneled to the artist once the Facebook bots recognise copyrighted material.... regardless, the malicious assholes that report this stuff are so incredibly pathetic. Gnr should reach out to fans like Gibbo and Fran and ask them to work on the Selects. The quality control would be amazing. Imagine if they were paid to do that work😄 pity gnr would consider them enemies.

Why they think fans selecting the best known performances of the band playing is harming them is beyond belief.

You would think that GnR would support guys like Gibbo and appreciate the support they get from us Aussies who turn out time and time again to see their shows, enabling them to play in front of huge crowds, and effectively facilitating their continued dream existence and lifestyle of being ‘Rock stars’, but no, they gotta shit on the real fans time and time again. I've seen other bands embrace fan pages, fan videos, etc... and even share them on their respective social media pages. Even KISS and their quest for the almighty dollar doesn't get fan pages or fan videos taken down.

It would be different it Guns was planning on putting a lot of this on their own page, but instead we get the Selects which just shows how out of touch the corporate entity known as Guns N' Roses is with the fan base.

Exactly mate. Which is the reason i aint going to see them this time around (if it still goes ahead)...  Just had the under the southern stars gig cancelled for the 3rd time on me cos of "covid".... No more GnR shows until they actually work out there shit for once...

They really don't care about fans outside of the ones that just go along with whatever is happening and don't any opinion contradicting theirs. When you have a group of people around the band that are hyper sensitive to criticism, these things happen!

Thing is Gibbos page was pretty positive... because the uploads were good and cherry picked to make the band look good. You really have to look at it in a fucked up way to scew it as fans trying to harm the band. 

I know TB have had links to blockers in the past, but you also don't need to be linked to an artist to report a page, also sometimes facebook takes down pages because of the copyrighted content... As much as I don't enjoy what TB do with GNR and their previous actions, I don't want to automatically assume the worst. IF they are behind it again, fuck them. IF they aren't behind it, then they should help unblock the content.

This is the weirdest bit for me -I'm really anti-piracy, I don't stream because I want to buy stuff and support the musicians etc, but if it's never going to get a release, ever, then why let it rot? 

Release stuff officially, and well priced, and I'll be happy to pay for it. I'm a mark for this band, totally. But they choose not to.....so where is the harm in people like myself keeping my interest in the band up by watching some ancient live footage? As far as I can see, no-one is being harmed whatsoever. 

I just don't get it at all.

Definitely. I'd have no problem paying for the material. Be it on YouTube, physically, or some Patreon perk, I can't help but feel that the fanbase would rather pay for quality unreleased material than toy trucks and laundry bags.
