The Many Saints of Newark

I was just talking to my friend about Edie Falco - they’re told to marry a woman like their mothers, so in a way, it makes sense. I never thought of it like that, but still annoys me! 😂 looking forward to this.

That has blown my mind. They are the spitting image! That would’ve been ridiculous had they used Edie for that role though

Vera is awesome so is Ray Liotta and Jon B, but shit it's not on HBO it's on HBO MAX so pissed because I don't have this channel and not getting it anytime soon.

It looks freaking awesome. Oh well.

This trailer just dropped! It looks amazing, however it is slightly annoying that Edie Falco is playing his Mother.

The Halloween trailer was awesome too, but they showed most of the damn movie. Now we know how Michael gets out of the cellar. Not what I was thinking.

One more Halloween to go and I think Mike will be done or will he?

I actually met Jon B at a Texas Frightmare. What a super nice guy and so damn handsome too.

You'll definitely find a way to watch it, it'll be plastered all over the Internet as soon as it is available for streaming so I wouldn't worry about that! I may have missed that trailer, I'll go watch that now. Thanks!

Cool! Vera is one hell of an actress and Ray Liotta is magic in anything he does! I think a friend of mine might have HBOMAX and she's a fan of the Sopranos, so hopefully I can watch it.

I also watched the Venom sequel with Tom Hardy and it looks awesome too. Looks like one hell of a year for new movies! Can't wait.

I think David Chase is brilliant and I'll still watch it when it releases, but Micheal Gandolfini cannot act. The trailer and his role in The Deuce demonstrates how bad of an actor he is. Seems like a nice guy, but so far I didn't detect any emotion that he managed to convey.

Fingers crossed he makes his dad proud. I have a lot of faith in David. We've only seen glimpses and it appears Michael's doing a good job showing Tony's little mannerisms. We shall see.

Interesting. David's not happy with the marketing the studio forced, probably why he did this interview. He says it's mainly about Dicky and it seems to be less of a Tony origin story and more of a period piece with maybe several stories going on.

I'm okay with that. What concerns me a bit is referring to it as a gangster movie, which I feel is the antithesis of what the show was about. It was very self-aware and philosophical and didn't glorify the gangster stuff - which is something that's always bothered me in certain films, specifically Goodfellas, even though it's a great film.

We shall see.

Eh this may have benefited from a limited series format as the characters could have been fleshed out more and the story could breathe. I also probably would have also centered the story around Harold rather than Dickie, as he seemed far more interesting. I can say i hated the development made about Junior. It's stuff like that why i generally hate prequels/sequels.

Did it open up with Junior eating pussy?

Really? No Sopranos fan at all but the trailer was very promising... damn!

The show is waaaaay better. I re-watched Casino the other night and it really puts into perspective how bad MSON is.
