Because we know hardschool will probably be played and maybe released at some point in the (near) future. Isn't that obvious?

No. In terms of GNR nothing is obvious.

But you do realize that, had Hardschool never leaked and this rehearsal was literally the first time you hear the song, you’d probably be hyping the shit out of it?

Doesnt that ring a bell?

No. Maybe in 2016/2017 I would have been hyped. But after nearly five years into the reunion I expect something more than a song like Hardschool, despite when or by whom it was written.

But to set the record straight: I am happy for everyone who enjoys this song. Once again, I just don’t get the hype for it.

I agree 100%, and I feel this way too. I expect much more than just one song. But that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy Gn’Rs first new song in 13 years (because it IS a new song, whether you like it or not).

Your first post was very different to what you are saying now IMO.

I’m guessing HS is the lead single for an a future EP or LP. Probably why management freaked when it almost leaked in 2006 and freaked again when it did finally leak in 2019. Hope to hear the full live version w Axl.

remember hearing it back in the day by the name of checkmate, only a few seconds, and i freaked out. Loved it from the 1st moment
