Well great news as I like Slash's SMKC stuff.....but it's another sign (should anyone have needed one) that there is no new GNR album anywhere near imminent.

Exactly. You can't be mad at Slash for putting out a record.  It shows he's still creatively hungry. But if a GNR album was "imminent" there's no way their schedules would not revolve completely around that for a good bit.

Going to try to find out more info soon.

I honestly don't even think the information you're looking for exists in a tangible way. Everything just seems in utter limbo on that front right now.

This announcement is no surprise at all….but just because this is coming out doesn’t mean anything GNR-related can’t/won’t see the light of day (I realise thats not a popular opinion be hey-ho). 🤷🏼‍♂️

Just been reminded that ABBA are going to be releasing some new tracks….if they can do it bloody anyone can! 🤣

So how many records has Slash pumped out since the reunion? Man I've lost all hope for anything from GNR. I'll drop dead in shock if they release anything new.

2 albums, 1 soundtrack and several features... meanwhile Axl has been "perfecting" the decibel levels on Melissa's re-recorded sub-bass parts on 1.5 songs.

Isnt it possible for guns to drop the album before Australia / early next year before European tour?

If Slash's album is out early next year, I doubt they would release a GNR album so close. If by early they mean January/February for the Slash album, then he could still have time for a reasonable solo tour and then GNR can drop a new album coinciding with the European tour next summer.

This year can be entirely written off. It's a "return to live shows" and perhaps even a UYI anniversary tour.
