I'm sure many of us remember the months-long build up to the AFD boxset and SOYL. This has nothing in common with that strategy. Plus, Axl specifically described this as a 'new Guns N' Roses song', so the implications have nothing to do with UYI. I think the band will continue to introduce new songs to the setlist and release equivalent studio singles as they progress. Perhaps Hardschool or another song will accompany a new album announcement, but this live/studio approach seems like the way forward. Dean Posted August 6, 2021 Share Posted August 6, 2021 I noticed this with the Bumble leaks and to an extent the Village leaks that if I didn't pay close attention to the lyrics, it sounded as if Axl says "fucking bitch hate you" instead of "screaming fucking banshee". I'm annoyed at those fans who want a band to be stuck in the past. GNR was never a band that was gonna do the same thing over and over again to begin with. AFD-LIES-UYI was a direct progression with new elements, directions, complexity etc. There is no point in remaking Appetite or UYI, they already did that.
