And I’m guessing after the insanity of the UYI’s tour and then after this (autograph session) he was ready to disappear. Axl probably dealt with a level of fame only comparable to people like MJ or the Beatles for a short period of time. It had to be absolutely exhausting after a while. If he kept up the scale and grandeur of the UYI Tour while still being a public figure, he might've died.
