How to book GNR?

Recommended Posts

Serious question (for a friend) - who's in charge of booking these days? Fernando? Del? Someone at the record label?

No booking or contact info on their website, nothing on TB's website either. Any business contact, phone number or email anywhere?

Possible date and location might fit into their touring schedule for Europe next year.

You trying to book them for Prince Andrews going away party 😂

Serious note, I'd imagine it would be an expensive engagement.

I have to say that really if you have to ask in a forum how to book GNR, chances are you probably don't have the connections to book them!

Good luck with it though.

You might have a slim chance if they are booking European dates and can throw them double their booking fee (5-6 mil). Even then, there’s exclusivity with other promoters and the band most likely isnt interested in doing gigs like that. That’s on top of other costs required to perform a gig. An approved venue, insurance, hiring local crew, etc…

Just to expand on what’s in this thread:

Live Nation is a promoter (who also controls/owns some venues). In this case, the op’s friend would be the promoter. So they are of no help in this instance.

Del James is the tour manager. He doesn’t book shows. His job is day of show

Team Brazil is management. They hired the booking agent and gave them parameters in what to book and what their schedule/plans are.  It’s actually illegal in certain places for a manager to book shows

United Talent Agency is the booking agency. They book shows and coordinate between management and promoters

Nevermind the fact that a world wide reknown act like GNR or their booking agent Live Nation/United Talent agency/whatever won't go into business with someone who has to ask on a fan board where to book them and obviously has no proven record (and assurance they can actually cough up the money needed to book GNR and has the expertise to stage a show of this size). Anyone else would know where to look into how to book them.

Pretty much. It’s a good opportunity to explain generally how things operate though. Little music industry 101 course work. Maybe it sparks some interest to pursue things

Just to clarify, I'm not booking anything, just asking for a friend.

Thanks for your replies y'all, appreciate the input! :)

Yeah. We got that... even though the "asking for a friend" part is always suspicious. :P But same difference, I don't see much hope for your friend, if he has to ask a fan to ask on a fan forum where to book GNR. ;)
