Yea that's the way to do it. I just don't get why this band won't give enough shits to celebrate this release properly. I mean it was life changing for them as a band

I know. It actually beggars belief how awful this stuff is. I have legit seen better stuff in Primark (in UK and t-shirts are about £5-£10). 🤦‍♂️

You should post it if you still have it. I'd love to see how it's held up after 29 years. You'd have to actively try to have merch this bad. Seems like someone messed around in a design program for a few minutes and called it a day. I could celebrate the UYI anniversary all the same by going to Kohl's and getting a UYI shirt for 12 bucks.

How do I upload a photo to here from my phone?

I have my 1991 ones too.....and they still fit! I actually wore one to one of the NITL shows!

Shirts were way better quality back then so they've held up amazingly way. Especially as i wore them all the time back in 1991/1992.

Hey the entire album title is "Use Your Illusion", maybe they are going for some sort of abstract point of "all good things in life you must imagine they exist, like proper celebrations of the UYI 30th anniversary"

Jeezo - that’s horrible stuff. 🤦‍♂️

Im always comparing GNR and MetallicA (I know - even I’m getting tired doing it) but look at how The Black Album is being celebrated…all over the media, quality reissue, top merch. And we get this…..🤦‍♂️

It’s really quite simple..Axl is a lazy narcissistic ass who is sometimes legitimately nuts. All rivers to why GNR is so disappointing most of the time flow from that simple fact.

I really think there's some open wounds that stem from that tour that haven't fully healed. I also think it might be difficult for Axl to look back and see that guy on stage knowing there were deep problems going on internally. Duff was also in a bad place then as well.

Definitely, the Brockum ones from that period were heavy quality material. And the sleeves were longer!!

The 92 shirt I have is a £5 bootleg bought outside the gig. It’s shrunk over the years but held up amazingly for boot shirt!

Yeah I’ve been wondering this myself. The band must look back on all the backstage footage they have from that time period and cringe.

🤯 The hat is OK but what exactly is it the that you liked about the other stuff?

That's a lot of money for dreadful merch!

I spent $175 total on them. Don’t really love the designs but figured why not I collect tons of GnR merch so I would feel terrible if I missed out.

Fair play to you.

I just wish they had half decent merch for folk like you to get if you are willing to pay.  Not even having the proper lettering/font….🤦‍♂️

@RussTCBhad some custom Absurd t-shirts that looked great and of much better quality than this trash. How hard would it have been to just reissue some of the tour shirts?

Isn't that insane? I mentioned something casually to my wife. She ran to the store, grabbed a few things and turned out shirt that look better than GN'R can....

I'm a bonafied nut swinger but GN'R merch has been butt ugly for years now, show shirts are still mostly cool but the stuff at the merch store... Hard pass. Wish they would get someone who had an eye for this stuff, I feel like only teenagers wear ugly shit like that.

I would so buy the shirt she made, that's the kinda stuff GN'R should be putting out.

I agree. I don’t even think these items are made yet. I think they just have a mock up sample and then they actually get the items printed and made up.

Nothing like the original Brockum tees. Today I’m wearing the Use Your Illusion tee that says making a fuckin fashion statement on the back.

I’ll just wear these new merch to sleep in.
