Blackstar
Great interview and great story about the CD title track. Josh is such a cool and interesting guy. I loved that his wife was chiming in 2
Sweersa
Tag for later, thanks! I wish they kept him on some of CD and/or CD2.
Rovim
really fun interview. I wish it was longer. His solo album(s) concept is pretty whacky, but I can't wait to hear it. It wasn't supposed to happen so at least it exists. Great attitude as a musician too. You can tell he worked hard to get to where he's at, it's not just his incredible talent. The definition of a professional musician and he was respectful but honest. I think Axl was lucky to have Josh in Gn'R for 2 years. Very curious about those 2 or 3 unreleased Gn'R tunes that he came up with. I remember he said in a different interview that the tunes he came up with were all on the AAA Gn'R list. (they had an A/AA/AAA list to put a quality label on the material) encouraging that he seems to like these tunes. If another Guns album will see the light of day, it will be cool to ask Josh if he recognizes any of the tunes as something he worked on/wrote. I have not listened to the interview yet, but I wonder if these tunes were only instrumentals, and if so, if they were in the Village leaks. themadcaplaughs
Really fun and informative interview. I am glad to hear he and Axl are back on good terms. A few years back, Josh mentioned that he heard Axl was mad at him for playing on the 2010 Slash album.

If you compiled all the cool and unheard information you have gleamed from your guests about GNR I would more than say you’re doing great adding to the repository of GNR knowledge. 2
mystery
Sucks that he never got to tour during his time with Guns n Roses. Late 99 into 2000 would've been a perfect time to do so.

Popular Post Blackstar
Another interview with Josh. Talks about GnR at 49:27: Said he would be happy to guest at a GnR show: Josh: I saw Axl - I hadn't seen him in many, many years and I saw him when they played Coachella [...] I ran into Axl over the weekend there and he goes, "Hey man, we're playing your song! We're playing your song during the set! We're playing Chinese Democracy!" I'm like, "Oh, that's cool!" And he's like - this was right when they started doing the reunion shows - "Dude, you gotta come out and guest on something!" I'm like, "Everyone in your band has my phone number. Slash's got it, Duff's got it, Frank, your drummer, has got it, Melissa has got it... everyone has got it;" - and I never heard from him, and that's okay - "you can call me this afternoon." It would have been really cool if he guested on CD title track. Edited October 28, 2021 by Blackstar
