Slash's Most Underrated Riff?

Recommended Posts

Always agreed, best song on that album and hasn't changed since the day I first heard it. It was the only sort of "fun" song on it, rest of the album is really dark, being 1995. Both Snakepit singers have way more soul and character to them in voice and lyrics than Myles IMO, none of that "faceless" sound to them, and that will always make them better albums to me even with Slashs material staying pretty much in the same style.

I am going to get crap for this but I think the riffage in Hard Skool is pretty bloody cool. Some sweet harmonies and the riff and chord work is superb. Out with that... SPEED PARADE!!!!!

Frankly i think the riffage on both HS and Absurd are great.

Thanks for sharing this - I don't love the vox on the first Snakepit album, but some of the music [particularly the guitar work] is killer, this tune is no exception.

Yeah, it's too bad SLASH didn't take a bit more time to find a better vocalist than Eric Dover. That album could have been phenomenal IMO. I still liked it regardless.

I'd have loved to hear someone else sing Beggars & Hangers-On and also on Back and Forth Again. Always loved the solo in Back and Forth.

I thought Rod Jackson was much better vocalist and his bluesy style fit in really well with the ALG album, which was also very good.
