Bitchisback
Love Dave but I'm not sure his style would have fit. Probably would have fit GnR a lot more than the RHCP tho. Anyway if anyone has a minute listen to Dave's solo album. Some good stuff on it.
Gunner Gilby
I'm glad things worked out how they did and we got Gilby.
Dean
Dave would’ve been well suited to Chinese era GNR and I’d have loved to have seen it happen, but not at the expense of the songs on the record that Tobias has his name next to. This is talking about replacing Izzy in 1991. I think his gig for OMG in 1999 was always understood to be session work.
Pele
He missed out on nothing then. He'd have got to do the tour and record some pretty poor covers, then got dragged into the nonsense that was 'Chinese Democracy' where he would have likely walked away due to the singers inability to finish anything (as per Bucket, Brain, Josh, Robin etc etc).

Probably would have left like Duff and Slash did around 1996-97. I don't see Axl dismissing him like he did Gilby. I wonder if Paul Huge still comes into play as well as Zakk Wylde. Axl was dead wrong on this issue. Flint was perfect for the band at that moment in time.
