Yes, Ron Anderson was thanked in the liner notes on AFD (and on UYI, of course).

And Axl had mentioned him in this interview from 1988:

It depends what the goal was really.

If, like you suggested, it was to ensure Rose completed the tour without losing his voice, then yes I suppose.

Other than that, apart from ACDC, he surely was horrified in what he was hearing onstage.

Not really an appropriate thread to be throwing shade at Axl, would you not agree?
