Connor
Will "Don't Cry" (Live) and "You're Crazy" (Live) on the new Hard Skool EP be the same live versions from the Live Era '87-'93 CD? I'm hoping we get new live versions of these tracks. 3

This would be the ultimate TB move
rocknroll41
Some people here already have the CD right? Can someone confirm for us? I’m curious as well.
Stay.Of.Execution
Come on. They're hesitant even releasing live videos from that era. They won't release two songs on a b-side of a new track from the illusion era. If I'm wrong, then fuck me
Popular Post StrangerInThisTown
You're Crazy from Live Era is unbeatable , so that would actually be pretty good.
CubanSkies Dummy
I think there are new audience recordings like "Absurd" (it's a field recording) Edited February 3, 2022 by CubanSkies Dummy 1
Tom-Ass
They have to be from the reunion line up.. The only thing that was weird is that they announced it only a couple shows into the last tour.. The performances of You're Crazy definitely weren't good enough to release at that point. Axl still sounded like he was in band rehearsals trying to remember how to sing the song.. While both live tracks are more appealing to me than Hardschool and Absurd are, it's not enough for me to want it.. I already own superior versions of these songs. Will give them both a listen on youtube though.. Would be cool if they made a video to go with one of the live tracks too.. But they won't...
Sweersa
I listened to both yesterday. Definitely reunion lineup.

Or are they poorly mixed like the selects? I'm guessing Don't Cry will be mediocre at best, but I'm looking forward to hearing You're Crazy. I was more focused on how Axl sounded. He sounded good for modern live Axl, as if I was listening to the band perform on a good night from the last tour. 8
themadcaplaughs
Still waiting on my CD and vinyl. They sent the FedEx number last week, but it has not updated since.
El Guapo
Don't Cry is pretty good, bit shaky in the last section. You're Crazy is ok, great guitar playing. Axl...it is what is is.
CubanSkies Dummy
So, these new live tracks are first vocals we got by the man himself since... 2008, right?! ("Rock the rock" does not count, anyway, btw you fucker)

Some people are saying they sound like audience recordings, which isn't great.......

Jw224
Yeah, wouldn't say they sound great or anything. Pretty muddled by compression.

They sounded fine, I'll listen to them again from a better stereo in the next few days and will report back to this thread. I'm curious about the live Absurd. I'll listen to that at my parent's house since they have a turntable.

oneway23
Having only watched Youtube clips since 2016 and not heard any soundboards of the reunion, I have to be fair. I'm a mark for all things Izzy, but, Slash & the Nose sound fantastic together. Great give & take.
