What a super nice guy. Hope I asked enough. Lots about the recording sessions, including about Brain May. Enjoy! 17 8

Would love to hear some of your personal impressions of the interview, when you have the time. The original post I wrote the wrong day...so, surprise! I'll say this, it was perhaps the least stressful GNR-related interview. Just reached out, no pushback or topics to avoid...other than Manson, mainly because he doesn't know anything. But he was cool just talking about Chinese Democracy as much as I wanted. Because of that I wanted to make sure I spoke enough about his current stuff too, as a thank you.

Nice surprise to listen to on a Friday. Very wise approach to the interview. Sounds great so far!
CubanSkies Dummy
Oooooohhhh!! I have no more reaction left for today but awesome! I'm going to listen to it right now! Kudos to Gambit and Sean!
CubanSkies Dummy
"35 songs". In the four rough mixes there were 35 songs. "This I Love" and "Oh My God" were omitted. I liked the idea of three albums at the time. Maybe later, I will make the tracklisting on another thread, stay tuned. oneway23
So impressed with the talk about Axl's loyalty...Some would say to a fault, maybe, but, I find it admirable.
oneway23
It's interesting...He says they did 35 songs, but, he also says, "out of the ones Axl ended up singing on" which, I guess makes sense for the years he was there, as everything pretty much aligns with the state the songs were in as of the Village leaks. Also noteworthy, IMO: Not that his opinion is the be all end all, but, he did point out that all of his favorites ended up on the album. Sweersa
Tag for later! I wish Sean produced a double album for GN'R back then, or a triple. I loved his mixes.

cineater
Axl doing stand up comedy as a warm up. I kind of like that. Was any of that recorded? Can we hear that?

Popular Post Twinaleblood
Thank you Brando, just listened to it and I enjoyed it a lot. He shared some very very nice stories. Wonder if his memories of Atlas stemming from a Howerdel idea are correct, as I would have expected something more electronic oriented coming from him tweaking with Logic. But Sean seems to remember the song fairly well, even recalling the recording session for the vocals, so he might be really correct. On a side note, when he said something along the lines "while Billy was making some sounds with Logic, Axl sometimes would stop him to record bits of vocals on whatever he was playing" , my mind ran to Nothing, as it really fits the description. I think that might really be a tune that came up this way. Edited February 5, 2022 by Twinaleblood 4

CubanSkies Dummy
So, it's possible that Lies They Tell, Oh My God and This I Love were in the works too un late 99. Again, great interview. There are some users with good level on this forum. Proud to have joined. 1

You gotta up your game on your GNR knowledge before you make another list Edited February 5, 2022 by StrangerInThisTown

Popular Post StrangerInThisTown
Riad is one of his favourites seriously? The splash of Slash's turds dropping into a toilet create a better listen than that piece of shit Edited February 5, 2022 by StrangerInThisTown 5
