22 songs on the setlist and only 1 from WoF seems ridiculous.

I mean at this point almost a 3rd of the set is 4 songs (6 different ones now), 4 each from AL and LTD, 3 from the self titled album; so yeah I agree there should be a few more WOF songs to even it out. Personally I think they should bring back We're All Gonna Die and Todd can do that one along with Doctor Alibi each night (along with Always On The Run). Rocket Man is nice but I would rather hear a WOF song; there's a few other places they could put one in.

I'm surprised they're not rotating Speed Parade with Shine/Beggars/Mean Bone, no Starlight, no WOF bangers...

I'm kinda hoping this run is just scratching the itch with some of the random back catalogue stuff they want to play.

Then for the the 2023 run, we go back to a more traditional setlist. Which I guess would make sense.

I created my own setlist of 22 songs. No covers, no GNR, nor VR or Snakepit. Just songs written by Slash and Myles.

It's a completely unrealistic list which isn't build around the biggest hits that are staples on every live set. Just my personal wishlist.

1. Halo

2. Call Of The Dogs

3. Whatever Gets You By

4. Serve You Right

5. Bent To Fly

6. Too Far Gone

7. Spirit Love

8. Beneath The Savage Sun

9. The Great Pretender

10. The Unholy

11. Far And Away

12. Lost Inside The Girl

13. Boulevard Of Broken Hearts

14. Battleground

15. April Fool

16. C'est La Vie

17. The One You Loved Is Gone

18. Starlight

19. Fall Back To Earth

Encore:

20. Wicked Stone

21. World On Fire

22. Anastasia

Alt. list:

Not For Me

30 Years To Life

Detroit last night was LOUD and Slash was just phenomenal.

His solo on the double neck just kept going and going and going…when you read on the Set List FM that The World is Gone has an “(extended solo)” HOLY SHIT is that an understatement :slash:

Frank works his ass off and I almost feel sorry for him.  What a band.  The new songs are so good live!

Front row of the balcony center for me so I do not have the best pics but watched the entire spectacle unfold.  If you can, go see this tour :headbang:

The solo at 3:00 onwards completely blew my mind

hot damn, that's the best Slash solo I've heard in a long time. I've said it once and I'll say it again, Slash's best playing has always been on his ballads. He's one of the most emotional and expressive players of all time, and that's a great example.

There's this footage from the pro shot show in Montreux played in 2019. The One You Loved Is Gone was played there too and I think I like that solo even more than this here from Salt Lake City. Check it out if you don't know it. The whole gig is pretty cool.

I went to the MD show last night and they went on about an hour after doors and played just over two hours.

I've long thought The One You Loved Is Gone has one of his best solos in recent memory and he transformed it into a show stopping performance with the extended improv solo. It was incredible to witness.

Here's my recording of Spirit Love:
