I couldn't believe my ears when I put the needle on the record and heard piano instead of the river is rising's opening riff lol

It's labeled as Slash 4 side a, but it's TS Folklore side a? :rofl-lol:

Wtf this LP is probably worth a lot for collectors. Don't give it back!

Yeah it has the normal slash stickers on it but the music on side a is Taylor swift folklore.  Side B is the correct slash 4 side B though lol

It's so odd!  I've never even heard of this happening and I've been buying records for over 20 years now lol

I had to look up the lyrics on Google because I'm not familiar with Taylor's music and had no idea what was playing lmao

This would be the best vinyl in my collection, I wonder how many other people have gotten this:lol:

Getting both Slash and Taylor would be incredible.

I wonder what @RussTCBthinks of this, I think he's a big vinyl collector right?

That's crazy but not entirely unheard of. It's a sign of how bad quality control has become with the current vinyl resurgence. The amount of things that would have to go wrong for those two stampers to end up pressing an album like that is pretty large.

Having said that, I'm in a lot of vinyl groups on Facebook and a ton of people have posted about spinning the Slash album. None of them have reported the issue, so it might not be very wide spread.

You might even go check the vinyl entires for the album on Discogs and see if someone has the pressing error listed as a variant.

I figure as much. However many copies were pressed while the wrong stampers were on tbat particular press are how many are going to be out there.

So if they pressed 100 or 500 or 1000 before they swapped out the stampers would be hard to say. Only someone who was working at the plant on the those were pressed would have any chance of knowing.

At a total guess, I'd say it's definitely more than 100 at the very le

That's so crazy lol.

Do you think I should keep it?  It seems like a fun little thing to hold onto, and gives me a reason to pick up a different copy lol

Anyone else having an issue?  Who should I contact about this 😆

That's insane in the membrane.

I would keep it just because it's unique. Just pick up another correct copy. I might be worth something, or not. It's always hard to say because we don't know how many there are. If there's a limited number, if might rise in value to some Swift or Slash fan, but it very could never rise in value. Either way its a unique thing for you to have as a fan.

Taylor Swift’s Folklore is actually a better album than 4, you should be grateful :lol:

I can't believe I passed up an opportunity to shamelessly plug my vinyl channel, shane on me! 😂

For anyone who doesn't know already and might be interested, I have a vinyl YouTube channel where I post 2 videos every week covering all sorts of pressings from my personal collection:

Buying a 2nd copy is a good way to support Slash too.

Now I own 2 copies of the vinyl and the CD box set

What's wrong with me lol
