jacdaniel
I kind of discovered GNR backwards. First album was definitely UYI2 so I think Civil War was first song.

S1lkw0rm1
Don´t Cry. It was late '91 or early ´92. I was 9 years old. My aunt had this VHS with a bunch of videoclips poorly recorded from the TV. I had pressed the FF button because I was looking for Extreme's "More Than Words" (I insist...I WAS 9 YEARS OLD) and, all of a sudden, my aunt, who was 15 at the time, screamed "Stop the tape! It's GUNS N' ROSES!". I reluctantly pushed Play and then I saw Axl waking on the snow with a gun in his hand. The same tape had WTTJ and Patience. I never searched or cared about More Than Words again.

Stress Fracture
Welcome to the Jungle on the radio. It stood out immediately but I wasn’t sure about the sha-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n knees bit on first listen.
El Guapo
I got a special one, the very first GnR song I've ever heard was Shadow of your love. I bought an LP released in 1987 named "Time to rock", it was a sampler feat. Mötley, Faster Pussycat, Raven, Testament, etc., very diverse stuff. And GnR with a live version of Shadow of your love, a different one than what ended up on the AFD boxset. Anyway, loved it right away and got AFD right after that. Jwalker19
I believe I heard Sweet Child O' Mine and Paradise City when I was a little kid, but the first distinct memory I have was Welcome to the Jungle around age seven.
mikeman5150
For me it was jungle. Kinda like Russ said earlier, I can remember it vividly! I was only 4 and my sister and her friend were babysitting me. They had on MTV and were watching Girls, Girls, Girls, by Motley Crue. That was my favorite and really only video I knew at the time because I really liked motorcycles and I remember thinking my sisters friend looked like one of the dancers in the video. I know I was only 4 but I liked her....a lot lol. When Jungle came on, my sister said “I don’t know this one” but her friend said “oh this one is great, they are new and their singer is so hot, Id love to jump his bones!” From that moment on, I was like this guy is cool, I must be like this guy. 2

PatrickS77
Paradise City in '89 or so. But the first song that stuck was YCBM in '91.
IrishgunnerII
You could be mine watching terminator 2 in 1992 at my cousins house. It would take me another 8 years to realise I was a massive fan of the band. It’s why YCBM is one my favourite songs. 2

sakuL_
My Michelle in a skateboard video Adio - One Step Beyond. There was this kid Richie Belton who had this song for his part and I remember rewinding back my VHS all the time just to hear this song. Also his skating is really sick!
