Always wondered if the song was about GN'R/Slash/the music industry in general rather than a relationship with a woman. Amazing lyrical imagery throughout the song and the ending is just as evocative musically as the rest of the song is lyrically. Even if others don't see it. So it's very hard to narrow them down to just a few, let alone just one. Like my favorite GN'R songs, the list changes by the second, minute, hour, day, week and year. Off the top of my head, I'd name these among my consistent favorites (not in order of preference): Breakdown, Don't Cry (orig.), Right Next Door to Hell, Garden Of Eden, Don't Damn Me, Rocket Queen, Sweet Child, Coma, Sorry, The Blues (SOD). Yesterdays is another good one. Dust N Bones too "Time's short your life is your own and in the end we're just dust n bone" is not exactly the most original lyric but I love it. I don't know, I like the majority of GNR's lyrics, even the ones that get torn to shreds here, like This I Love and If The World and Street Of Dreams.
