Does Axl read Tweets/Fan Comments?

He's not the same person he was in the 90's, or the 2000's, or the early 2010's. He's changed tremendously. Because he cares of what people think/say of him. You don't change that much if you don't care.

He used to influence a lot of people in the 80's/90's, but clearly it's the other way around now, he's influenced by the general consensus, and has been for a long time. I don't blame him, it's hard to keep your true nature, especially in this day & age.

That being said, even though I prefer the old Axl, I respect his sensitive side. He's clearly a very nice, generous & open-minded person.

A lot - if not all - of this seems much more likely to have occurred from: (i) mellowing out as he gets older and (ii) his general outlook on life improving now that he has the years of negativity about Slash and Duff behind him.

Well, as I said, we know he use to. So it certainly wouldn't be out the question for him to do so now. And yes, these things have been more than unhealthy for him. Remember Lollie? That weird, cryptic woman who would post in early hours of the morning, and then later got busted for breaking into Axl's house in the nude, grabbing one of his guitars and playing it at his kitchen table? lol. That shit still blows my mind. We all knew she was weird. But wow.

Can't remember anyone named Lydia, but I remember Queenie. Dude use to post in all caps and spam the forum. An early example of what would later be commonly referred to as a troll. There was also Xozi as well, pretty much doing the same thing. But I always believed it was Queenie's alt, since they were both from South America and would randomly team up with the same nonsensical junk, using the same syntax lol.

Then the posting of images into thread titles started. Next came the porn. I was working with Ed, who was the only moderator at the time, but it was no use. The place was shut down not long after. Sad really. I still consider it the most interesting GNR forum I've ever been a member of.

I reckon getting rid of the stage rants was something Slash stipulated in the contract. But he’s probably just more mellow now in older age plus isn’t faced with thousands of drunk teenagers every time he goes out on stage.

He has stopped the rants since 2006 - I think there was just one mini-rant in that year and nothing else after that.
