AtlasShrugged Posted May 10, 2022 Share Posted May 10, 2022 I was just listening to TWAT - a genuinely superb track from Chinese Democracy but the drums have the Hard Skool treatment of being (excuse the lack of technical terminology) muted/stifled/processed. Gordon Comstock Posted May 10, 2022 Share Posted May 10, 2022 The drums on Hardschool are so heavily edited/quantized that it doesn't matter who the drummer is, it may as well be a drum machine. The drum sound on Absurd was very disappointing too (I kinda hate the kick sound on these singles) so it's not a Brain vs Frank thing. The drums on TWAT sound better IMO.
