Got wasted and had standing general tickets and don’t remember much of the gig! Plus being shorter I didn’t see much! purchased diamond seating for this one so with any luck I’ll get to see the show! They advised the crowd that they were being cautious of lightning. But instead we got smashed with freezing cold rain for the second half of the show. It was absolutely relentless, just wouldn’t let up, which definitely hindered my enjoyment. The band were as expected, strong in parts, sloppy in others (especially Slash), but they were in good spirits throughout. I think this was the longest show so far, we got both Sorry and Whole Lotta Rosie. I’ll post more tomorrow, but I’m beat. Definitely too much for this 44 year old body, but it was so surreal being front row for GN’R. They had scaffolding blocking any ramps that would go out past the big screens were on either side of the stage, that I’m sure had ramps in front of back in 2017.
