Stuck Inside (Round 14) * Notes: - When a round ended in a tie - it happened 5 times (!) - the votes in the previous rounds were taken into account and the song with the bigger sum of votes was the one that got eliminated. - The poll didn't include: 1) Live appearances where Axl sang GN’R songs (like with The Foo Fighters and Carrie Underwood) or songs that were already covered by GN’R (e.g. KOHD with U2, Heartbreak Hotel with Tom Petty, Hair of the Dog at the RIP party.). That didn't apply to Dead Flowers (as it's a guest appearance on a studio recording) and to We Will Rock You (because GN’R played it only once with Brian May after the Freddie Mercury Tribute), so they were included. 2) Live appearances that are relatively rare or hard to find and/or there's no decent recording of (e.g. Mixed Emotions with The Rolling Stones, Dead, Jail or Rock ‘n’ Roll with Michael Monroe and the Biff Malibu video from 1989). 3) Axl/DC, because it can't be considered a guest appearance; Axl was the touring singer of the band. downzy Posted August 2, 2022 Share Posted August 2, 2022 I've been away from the forum for awhile while wrestling with a home renovation. Looks like a fun poll. Surprised Axl joining U2 to sing Knockin' On Heaven's Door didn't make the list. Kind of shocked his rendition of Come Together with Springsteen was kicked off so soon. Yes, I left that one out as well as a few others (e.g. Heartbreak Hotel with Tom Petty). If it were a poll for live appearances only I would probably have included those, too. But since I made it to be a poll for both live appearances and guest studio vocals, I decided to exclude live appearances where Axl sang GN'R songs (original or covers) so that the list wouldn't be too long - however, I did include Dead Flowers (because it's a studio track) and We Will Rock You (because it wasn't a GN'R cover before the Freddie Mercury Tribute). A few fans wanted a survivor for West Arkeen demos and other rarities. I don't know if @Gordon Comstock is going to proceed with that. There have been some other ideas. Someone else has suggested a poll for album artwork, and I've thought of one for music videos and one for live-only covers. Also if anyone can't find these demos, let me know I think all of these should be included, since GN'R members were involved, at least as co-writers.
