JimiRose
He's clearly just alluding to the monsters and B side (most likely Atlas) release which will come during the 2025 tour. They don't need to wait. what are they waiting for? there's no logical reason to not just release these now. they will have absolutely zero bearing on the ticket sales, and in both of the previous tours, they released the first single halfway through the tour and the second at the end, so they literally had no relevance to the tour promotion anyway. So it's just another pathetic 'soon, maybe, i hope so, let's see' non answer of an issue that should have long since died.

I wonder if they are looking at the analytics and figuring that they need to be more aggressive with their advertising of new material so peole actually listen to it... or will it be business as usual. Probably the latter, but one can hope. I personally don't see any great benefit to Gnr in drip releasing 1 song every 2 years. Good to hear something, but in terms of business it would be a lot better for them if it was say every 2 months (depending how much material I available). OR just release it all at once on an album with the 3-4 singles in the 3 months before the release date.
HollyWoodRose84
I definitely think we will be seeing some guns songs trickle out soon. We are nearing the end of the year. My main concern is Axl won’t be able to pull off the majority of the material when they tour.

Sooner could easily be a decade and still be true.

Tyson
It's just sad that Axl isn't able to get together with his badmates and do his best to create a new album. He doesn't owe anyone anything and is free to do whatever he wants to with his life. I get it. But it's just sad. All of the opportunity has been right there. Slash and Duff would have been more than willing to put in the time and effort to make something great. Axl just hasn't wanted to, for one reason or another. That's my main feedback for a 'new album' thread.

Surprisingly - I mean even the chorus which is the hard part he nailed a few times.... The General we didn't get much of feel for after only two performances at the end, so i'm sure it'll start in the set next swing around.... I think Atlas he could sing well enough.... At this point we shouldn’t really care - if the songs have killer vocals (recorded moons ago) then that will be in their legacy. No-one will care a jot in years to come ‘if he could do them justice live’. In fact - they can release new stuff and never play them as far as I’m concerned! If they WERE killer vocals and they wanted to do it live then just be sensible when and where they are played (both on the tour and in the setlist) to give him the best chance to do a good job. I suspect any future tours will be much smaller in numbers gigs-wise and I’m cool with that….at this stage get as much rest between gigs etc to really go out as strong as possible.

That's my main feedback for a 'new album' thread. I'm starting to think he can't. Axl doesn't like hearing his own voice anymore. Just look at how much time his Michael Schenker contribution took... and then the result which is questionable. It's not horrible, but not great either. And super processed. What if Axl thinks the same? What if he knows, but he just can't physically do it anymore, because his voice is screwed? What would you do? On stage he has backup singers and a lot of noise to camouflage what we all know. But when you're at a concert it doesn't matter much. The atmosphere and energy is great, people enjoy it, GNR makes money, everybody's happy. But in the studio you can't hide. Why risk killing your career when you can keep touring? He sounds a million times better on Love to Love than he has the past few years of touring. So, the reverse should be asked, why keep touring and sounding like Mickey when you sound much better in studio (processed or not) and can release tons of great music?

Isn't that essentially what he's referring to? I would guess that there's some other stuff that didn't make the snakepit record though, but I'd be of the opinion that if Axl and Duff passed on it, and then Slash even passed on it for his own records it's probably not worth looking at... but who knows!? 20yrs later it might sound great to all of them! There was some stuff (probably just riffs and sketches) that was written in 1994 during some short lived sessions after Slash had recorded Snakepit, which Axl liked. All at Iron Mountain,.I presume....

I’ll bet Axl felt compelled to release one track. I bet he wasn’t over the moon about his vocals on Love to Love, because that’s just who he is. Just wish he’d say ‘fuck it’ sometimes and put stuff out
